I guess you weren't around for the "2 posts daily" shit that happened a week ago.
We won't let it happen ever again!
That's the spirit!
they really run out of ideas
i already saw it, the setting of save the rural town is familiar, same for the characters especially the mc since it's literally aoi 2.0
If that amount of similarity is enough for you to discount a series, how do you manage to enjoy watching anything at all?
it's not that i can't watch copy of a copy of some anime, it's just that i expected it to be a little more original
I don't know, I just meant it as in I didn't find it very interesting, but now that I've thought about it, a lot of the characters seem to be interesting in their own way. Like that guy on the bus, whats up with him? I'll probably keep watching it.

On a scale of CUTE to Non Non Biyori, is this anime worth watching?
Are tomato slices on potato chips a common snack in Japan, or was this meant to be a little strange?>>20063
Worth watching, yes. And while it's not particularly similar to NNB, it is also cute and cozy in its own way.

I dunno if it's going to be cute like Non Non, but I think it's at least going to be good in the country living department. Although, this town seems more 'semi-rural' where as Non Non was entirely rural. So it's a different setting, at least a little bit. Give it a shot, the first episode does a good job of explaining it so you'll really only need to give it one or two episodes to see if you'll like it or not.>>20064
Stop posting this low effort garbage everywhere, this is your only warning.

Alright I'll give it a shot, but if there's one convenience store then I'm closing the media player down!
Ahhhhhh even the side characters are cute in this show!>>20067
So far there haven't been any.
She looks like a used up hag

Oh, what's this? have to go out of your way to defend some old cake's dignity on samachan?
TN: "idiot" means "baka"
Eyepatches are cute!
>>20068>even the side characters are cute in this show!
of course they are, this is anime, they have to be cute

Why do you hate konbinis?
She looks like an experienced lover who knows how to get what she wants.
You've got a very good point there

She's too young and cute to be so nihilistic.
Your gif isn't… nevermind.

The outfits in this anime are pretty /fa/ to begin with, but this one was extra cute!>>20170
So long as nobody's exoskeletons walk them over cliffs, I'm fine with that.

I wasn't expecting this to end up revolving so heavily around woodcarving.
Well, it is one of the only things the town is known for, and it seems a lot more interesting than some vegetables.
Also, Sanae in hikki mode is cute!
I've done the exact same thing, I've still got a scar on my thumb from where I stabbed myself with a wood carving tool.
Why are the girls with the best bodies always ruined by megane?
The glasses arent glued to her head anonymous. You could always take them off durring hand holding sessions.
She's been sullied by the glasses already, you can just have her
Sounds like my entire life
ya know, despite being the ostensibly "best" show this season, I have zero motivation to actually watch the newest episode.
I gave it a fair chance, but it's just so BORING!
I've been putting off this most recent episode too, I don't think its because its boring, but it does feel slow from time to time. I'll probably watch it when I get home later.
I know what you mean, but based on my experience with Shirobako, I'm going to stick with it. That series was also pretty slow near the beginning, and I de-facto dropped it for lack of motivation while it was airing, only to finish it afterwards and regret waiting to do so. With any luck, Sakura Quest will follow a similar trajectory and get more and more exciting as it goes on.
I've gotten this way with everything this season, and I'm only watching like 3-4 shows. It's pretty bad. I think it might have something to do with the quality of season rather than something wrong with me, but who knows. Maybe I've just burnt out on anime.
It's the same with me.
I gotta find something that will renew my interest in anime.
This anime fatigue is pretty weird.
I'm just going to wait for next season to arrive.
I got burnt out on anime recently actualy. What really got me back into it was watching something that really latched on to me. In my case I watched paranoia agent, I watched it all in like a day and it got me back into watching anime. Maybe you just have to watch something that'll pull you back in.
You actually liked Paranoia Agent? Maybe I'm retarded, but I thought the anime's message was stupid and I thought it was a jumbled mess.
If I recall correctly, it really was just a bunch of unused/rejected/half-baked ideas from other projects thrown together with a few loose connecting elements, so your criticism is valid in that sense. However, I found each individual episode interesting or at least fun to watch, and so even though it lacked cohesion as a whole, I still enjoyed it a lot.
I'm like >>20421I found each individual episode interesting and that kept me coming back for more. I liked trying to make sense of the mess because I heard it as really good. But I guess over thinking it helped me enjoy it lol.
I can see why you guys would like it then. To me, I was expecting there to be an actual message behind it, so I was really annoyed when every episode felt disconnected and connected at the same time, and how damn stupid the ending was.

Jokes on you, I saw this right as you posted it. So there's at least two of us zombies in these hills
File: ketsu.mp4 (1.52 MB, 640x360) Thumbnail displayed, click image for full size.
So, we have two or three more of these two-episode arcs to solve the other characters' problems, then what? It's confirmed for 25 episodes, after all. Will they actually pull of some successful schemes?
I'm glad I took the time to catch up to this. These last two episodes were pretty fun!>>20479
It looks like it, hopefully its more crazy stunts to promote the town!

I don't think I can do this anymore>>20504>god every episode feels an hour long
yeah that's what I feel
ok I finisbed the rest of episode 6 from the part where I started to fall asleep and then watched the new one too and I actually enjoyed it
episode 7 was better I really enjoyed how they worked in the senitmentality about old houses
I grew up in a town like Mayonama and this series really resonates weith me
I actually thought they we're going to start some super sentai shenanigans after reading this post. But hey, cooking is fine too I guess.
Also ponytails are great!!!
Today's episode was pretty fun! I'm glad it's found its way, all the characters mesh pretty well too!
It's fine, most people are the same.
I wish I could be motivated enough to do things, but unlike in anime, real life sucks, so fuck that
File: tea.mp4 (644.3 KB, 640x360) Thumbnail displayed, click image for full size.
the answer is to get motivated about getting motivated
File: 1496251162429.png (548.23 KB, 1170x658) Thumbnail displayed, click image for full size.
I liked it from the get-go but I guess I'm a sucker for the rural exodus premise and/or my taste has degraded to the point I'm able to enjoy everything.>>20694
I'm motivated but the problem is I can see how ridiculous my ideas are so I don't act on most of them.
>>20703>I'm motivated but the problem is I can see how ridiculous my ideas are so I don't act on most of them.
Isn't this basically all of us losers on this website? I want to be an artist, so I draw every day, but I'm not good enough to where I'll ever be able to do it as a job. I suck, I've been doing it for months and yet there are still barely any fruits of my labor. Doesn't mean I can't keep trying, even though expecting to make anything out of it is ridiculous at this point.
What exactly do you think is ridiculous about your ideas?
Tell me your ideas.
You misunderstand. I'm not talking about instances where you gradually put work on it in order to achieve a result. I'm talking about issues like in Yoshino's case where she thinks about and does something ridiculous without properly thinking about it. Meanwhile Shiori overthinks everything. I have the creativity to come up with crazy stuff as well as enough foresight to play out in my head how things would pan out in reality. It was a reference to the end of episode 9…
And I did say most of my ideas. I work towards completing some of the others because they're feasible, practical and easy to incorporate in a system that allows for personal growth on the way to fulfilling my objectives.
What is your objective?

I hope this becomes a Sandal arc instead of a Riri arc.
Why would you care about some dude?
I respectfully disagree.
You're just jealous he managed to teleport himself into the anime he created.
meh whatever, I could do that too, if I really wanted to
This character is just otaku bait, trying to make you feel bad for her because you're a loser too
Riri is boring. She's just a brat who tries way too hard to not fit in, and all of her self-inflicted 'problems' could be solved by just dropping the act and being a normal person. Sadly, I doubt we'll see her get the slap in the face and/or boot to the coot that she deserves.
Sandal may be hamming it up to appear intentionally outlandish, but at least that's more interesting than being some unsociable wet blanket.
well I'll be a good little fish then
>>20827>She's just a brat who tries way too hard to not fit in, and all of her self-inflicted 'problems' could be solved by just dropping the act and being a normal person.
Or you know, there's always the possibility that she doesn't "act normal" because she feels like it comes off as forced and awkward so she just does what she's happy doing, which only leads more people to call her weird which in turn feeds the vicious cycle.
I mean I don't see myself in Riri but there's plenty of reasons that justify her behaviour and so far she hasn't come across as a contrarian for the sake of it.
It's actually the type of story I haven't seen in a while but it will never stop feeling cliched. It was competently executed and done away with early in the anime's run so it's all good.
What accent? You mean his perfect english pronunciation? That would be a lack of accent…
The way he speaks Japanese I guess. It's funny to me.
I watch the previews to hear his Nihonese
Wow, looks like they might start having some real success this cour.>>21057
That's what a quitter would say.
It'll be fine. Unless you're afraid of winning.>>21063
Yeah, I like eyebrows too.
Okay, maybe you were right.
It started out so well, too. I thought the tone would get a little more optimistic in the second half, but if anything it seems to be getting even more depressing instead.
Everything she wears is cute, but this outfit in particular somehow manages to stand out despite being based on the uniform plain red t-shirt. How do they do it?
Yoshino is pretty dumb, huh?
This episode wasn't at all what I was expecting after how suicidal she looked last week, so that was a pleasant surprise. It actually felt, you know, fun again. Very refreshing.
I'm not a fan of the new opening, but I'm definitely a fan of the new ending. It might be because of the visuals. The new OP is a step below the first's but the new ending's visuals are amazing. It also doesn't have the girls doing karaoke.>>21324
She's working on tourism, not permanent residency. Besides, didn't the romantic match-making thing touch on that?
The previous episode hinted at a heavier tone than this. It almost felt like they skipped an episode.
I think that was done on purpose. They played us like a damn fiddle, then pointed it out with Robot Guy and Shiori's conversation at the beginning.>You thought something bad was going to happen, but actually, everyone's just on vacation. Gotcha!
I actually felt bad for gaijin-chan, she was so excited to share those photos, and Riri just sat there staring at her like a dead fish.

I've come to recognize this one specific CR translator who keeps translating "tsukareta" to "I'm pooped!".
I like to imagine he (she?) just likes the word poop.
Godspeed, you magnificent bastard!
I'll definitely never be able to un-notice this now, so thanks for that.
I've noticed this with a fair amount of CR subs before, so I think it's the official company translation of that
I think it's usually "I'm beat", tho.
I don't like it. It's gross and there's no way any of those characters would say something like that.
Wow, Riri actually seemed human this week!>>21598>dedication
More like stubbornness.
It's probably the last arc, with the final two episodes just being comfy / relaxation / celebration.
File: quest.jpg (262.54 KB, 1920x1080) Thumbnail displayed, click image for full size.
I think I get the name of the series now.
this latest episode was all about the follies of the internet
Well spotted. Would you like a gold star?
Don't give him that gold star I want it.
I'd be content with silver.

What a bizarre arc.
The moment I heard the classical music I saw it coming. I just didn't see the classical music coming.
This entire series can be described as vague bizarre. If I were a hack academic (or a MAL user) I'd describe it with some farty term like "hyper-real".
>>21878>if I were a hack academic
You basically are one. Also, the term is surreal, which technically simply means super-real, or more real than real.
congratulations on your philosophy bachelor's!

Okay, this episode made me like her just a little bit.
Wow that's a pretty red-flag line.
