why even remake it
i watched kino no tabi in 2004 from some shitty fansub group that doesnt even exist anymore because i used to idle in their irc and occasionally erp and now kino no tabi is airing in 2017
where have these 13 years gone
That was a lot better than I was expecting. Now if they could just add some scanlines, it might even stand up to the original.>>22532
To be fair, it's not exactly a remake, since they'll be doing a mix of new and previously-adapted material
I was kind of expecting rubbish but it turns out it's pretty legit.
Yeah I really do hope it's not a straight remake, cause the remakes aren't that good so far.

Man even in this new weird art style, Kino is mega cute.
The artstyle isn't actually all that bad.
It's not, I just really like how original the old one looked. In comparison this one just doesn't stand out as much. But that doesn't mean it's bad at all.
But ''is'' it '''kino''' though
Recurring characters or tagalongs aren't really a big thing in Kino
She's a traveller, the whole point of travellers is that they have constant hellos - and permanent goodbyes.
Having never read the LNs, I was thinking it might be the setup for having her be a second protag, like every once in a while a chapter would be from her perspective, completely independent of Kino. Oh well.
I was just thinking, since Shuzu appeared again, it would have been nice to see a bit of a continuation of her story. But I guess a story with a nice conclusion is better than being left with a gaping hole.

Some real subtle metaphors this week, eh?
What, you didn't think this was a little blunt, even for Kino? It was barely metaphorical at all, just replace "radio towers" with "perceived injustices" and it might as well have been a documentary.
Though I agree that spending an episode with the B team was enjoyable regardless.
I really want to eat pizza with Kino.>>23205
Kino no Tabi is basically a documentary though, it's literally about Kino riding around and examining the world.
Kino is cute in general, I don't know how to describe her when she's so goddamn confused though.
Is nobody else watching this now besides Ryuusei or something?
Nah, but for some reason it just doesn't inspire me to post much. Not that it isn't good; on the contrary, I've been very pleasantly surprised at how well it measures up to the original. But, y'know, it's Kino. What else can I say?
Same for me honestly
I just don't know what to say, especially since this episode is a remake.
Did you feel that the pacing was a little off, or was that just me? I thought it went a little, I don't think it went fast honestly but it felt rushed and compressed at times?
That was an intense episode, who would have thought sheep would be that aggressive? This wasn't the last episode though right? I think I read somewhere that it's 24 episodes or something. >>23599
It felt pretty much like the original for me, though now that I think about it it might have been a little rushed. But I don't think it really took anything away from it.
I was skeptical (to say the least) before it aired, but they definitely did the original justice. Good stuff.>>22532
Now we finally know: to see Hell Sheep animated.
