They had better be watching it, Umaru is a cultural treasure
She's annoying is what she is.
she's a cultural electric drill, that's what she is
I enjoyed the first season of this, but I feel like the new one is lots better. Probably because it's focusing more on Umaru and other people and less on Umaru by herself.
I agree. Overall I think she's an okay character, but she's definitely really bratty and kind of a shithead at times.
It's still a good show though, in my opinion. I'm enjoying it just as I did the first.
I mean Umaru is purposefully kind of a shithead little pissant, she even gets held up as some sort of counterpoint to imouto fans as what a 'real' little sister is like.
That's a good point. My little sister's teachers and friends always talk about what a nice girl she is and how helpful etc she is at school, but when she's at home and it's just us, she's a little dickhead and I want to smack her

She really is. Nice body, big appetite, and shy. Nothing better.

You know of Yukkuri bullying, now it's time for Himouto bullying
Ijime janai yo.

So you're saying "that's not bullying"?
I feel like they're mocking the audience. Abe's propaganda never ends.

Kirie gets to have all the fun.
Why are her boos so floppy?

If we could materialize ghosts for human pleasure, how big of an industry would it become in 2 years?
I've watched three or four episodes and I haven't had really anything to post because it's basically a straight adaptation of the manga, and I've read far ahead.
It's still enjoyable, though. Umaru is less bratty than she was last season, which is nice.
I enjoyed the first season, but if someone had told me I'd love the second one, I would have thought they were nuts. It really is down to how much more likeable Umaru is. She could be cute and sweet in the first season, but mostly she was selfish and obnoxious. I think the larger focus on the other characters is contributing a lot to my enjoyment of the new season, too. I've really grown to like Sylphin quite a bit; I remember thinking she was kind of a weirdo last season.
I just saw that the manga about Ebina has ended. That's too bad. I'm going to be sad when I've read the last chapter.
They really played up her quirkiness in the first season, but this season does just show she's an awkward girl with a weird concept of how to make friends, because she's grown up sheltered.
The way it focuses on more characters is great too, especially with Kirie and how she wants to become a illustrator/author.>>23195
The one about her moving from Akita and meeting Taihei? That's a bit sad. I wonder how it ended.

She's probably really glad she came to Tokyo and made such great friends, or something like that that's careful not to step on the status quo.
I could not stand Umaru in S1 at all so I didn't even feel like giving S2 a chance, honestly.>>23189
Depends what they look like really. Also, feminism, probably, joined by religious nuts.
