They have their own manga, and they're occasionally in Takagi-san as well
>They have their own manga
huh, you weren't kidding
Imma check it out
It's good. But I enjoy the Takagi-san manga more.
>I think the […] pacing is fine though
what I meant is how in the manga there are like half a dozen chapters where it's not really clear what ms. forehead is all about. she just seems like a childhood friend/bully
it's only later that it becomes obvious she likes the boy
here they drop the bomb even before the intro
this combined with the too-cutesy voice killed ep1 for me
>>23884>this combined with the too-cutesy voice killed ep1 for me
I actually agree, when viewed with the knowledge that she likes the guy and is teasing him in -that- way, the opening of the story is completely different.
Then again, I think it's been getting better from episode 2 on, though it feels like I'm alone in that judgement.
What are you on about? The first episode started with a 1:1 adaptation of the first chapter, including her writing his name on the eraser.
But even if that hadn't been the first chapter, it would have been obvious anyway. Do you really think a middle-school girl would pay that much attention to a boy for any other reason?
I want a middle school girl to pay attention to me

Was I a dense fuckwit who smashed my own youth romcom before it even started?

It finally hit you, huh? Welcome to the club.
No, I like it now. It's OK. I thought I was going to drop this but the pacing has gotten better in my opinion
I THOUGHT I WAS BETTER THAN THIS
But you are the better man. You have turned your back on worldly romance and joined the lonely rangers on the internet in the pursuit of true beauty.
Our names may not be remembered, but our love will remain, as little specks of dried semen on the pages of history.
shut up this only makes me feel worse

That looks like a shoop. I can tell from some of the pixels and by the lack of exposed armpits.
From now on I'm going to refer to that trio as Eyebrows and the 'Hus.
By the way, for any mangafags here, did they get as much focus in the original manga, or are chapters of their spinoff getting added to the anime?
I'm fairly certain it's mostly from the spinoff
I don't remember so much eyebrows in the takagi-san manga
there was like 1 or 2 little mini-chapters per vol (I think..??? my memoery is hazy)
They don't get any focus in the original manga except for a few times where they're spying on Takagi and Nishikata.
Their own spinoff is great though, and the Takagi-san manga is great too. Would recommend.
>Nishikata doing his best impression of a neutron star
Because neutron stars are dense, and in English, "dense" can also describe someone who is dumb or unaware, doesn't pick up on things, can't read the atmosphere, that sort of thing.
Watching him act like that for too long is kind of tiring.
It's a 'cute' thing to do which is why you see hardass tsunderes and tough guys getting embarassed or angry when they're caught feeding strays.
Are you still watching this
Personally I didn't feel that the anime was doing a good job of getting the tone and comedy across so it ended up just being obnoxious and boring.
At the very least it's not boring for me because I haven't read the manga, so it's all fresh content. As for obnoxious, Kaji Yuki certainly does a good job voicing an utter faggot, which does get kind of grating. Anyway, I can understand that if you've read the manga, this adaptation doesn't really add much, but I've been enjoying it enough on its own.
Well I mean the MC kind of -is- a fucking faggot.
The entire premise of the manga is "blue balls"
There's also a manga where Takagi-san is married to Nishikata and they have a daughter, and its the exact same thing
