completely off topic but when did you start capitalizing your trip-name?
A while ago, someone pointed out that whenever I posted from my phone it was obvious because the R would be capitalised. So I just changed it to a capital R on my pc.
It's been like this for months now, how have you just noticed? Also go watch the cute horse girls.
Pasa-chan is an anchor baby! Dess!
Actually, I looked up the real El Condor Pasa, and he was indeed born in the US from a long line of mostly American horses, then was trained and raced in Japan. He was probably named after the Simon & Garfunkel song.
Is this anime actually true to…I don't really know what to call it, I guess, but horse racing history?
I wasn't aware horses attend classes.
About as true as K*nColle is to WWII, I'm guessing.>>25146
Well maybe you should stop hanging out with delinquent loser horses, then. I bet the ones you know aren't even cute girls.
Well I meant more like, did these horses race each other in real life, are the winners the real winners, so on so forth.
I don't know the first thing about horses, but a quick search turns up that, for example, Silence Suzuka died before Daiwa Scarlet, Gold Ship, or Vodka (the other girls in Team Spica) were even born. So I think they're just using a bunch of the most famous and successful Japanese racehorses, and not basing the story on actual racing history. However, individual details about the characters are based on reality, like Symboli Rudolf (the student council pres) being a Japanese Triple Crown winner.
And funnily enough, Tokai Teio (the vice pres) was sired by Symboli Rudolf in real life.

fug I DLd the TV raw to check and it looks like the sound isn't as fucked up, which means the issue is CR, which means it's less likely to be fixed.
Rest in Peace horsies
>>25360>Sound seemed ok this episode
The sound effects still are a bit too loud I think. But it was better than last episode that's for sure.
I hope spe-chan comes out on top next race!

Special Week died yesterday from complications ensuing from a pasturing accident, at age 23. RIP.
That doesn't bode well.

They should have Special Week choke to death while eating, it ruins my immersion that she's still alive.
The show was just boring. It couldn't keep my attention after the first few episodes because it was the really bad kind of vapid, it wasn't like Comic Girls right next door which was the really fun cute kind of vapid.

I want to make love to Ruki's armpits!!
I enjoyed each episode enough to keep watching, but in the end I pretty much have to agree with you, it just didn't do enough to stand out or get me excited or invested. Looking back, I guess I'd give it a 6/10? Acceptable, but not backlog-worthy.
Maybe horse-racing otaku enjoyed it on a different level.
Yeah I don't know the show was just vapid and incredibly generic
Maybe if you were into their speciality it wasn't as bad but even then, I'm not into mecha or whatever FAGs really fits into and I don't into dolls but I still enjoyed that show.
