It was the plainest romance I've ever seen. The actual story could probably have been told just as well in three episodes, but it was stuffed with lots of unnecessary characters, side plots, and SoL segments, none of which were engaging or added much to the whole. It utterly lacked charm.
From the same studio and team that made Nozaki-kun, I expected a lot more, but even the animation was pretty shoddy for some reason. Pic related; the longer you look, the more horrific the anatomy gets.
