The other day I was reminiscing about how I used to watch this as kid. I remember this anime being incredibly depressing. The name is Candy Candy, if anyone is interested in watching it.

It actually did. Anime first became big (outside of Japan of course) with hispanics and latinos, and so way before Anime got English translations, it got Spanish translations. So yeah, this aired when I was a kid but with the Spanish dub. And yes I'm latin.
