I like the soundtrack a lot. It's interesting to see the story slowly piece itself together. All the characters look kind of sameish and it is hard to tell at times who is who.
Do I have to have seen the first one to watch this?
There's already been a Boogiepop anime
That doesn't answer my question but I'm gonna assume the answer is yes, given how confused people seem to be
No. The old TVA was an original story set after the first volume of the LN. This one is an adaptation of the first volume.
From what I've heard, the old Boogiepop anime is a spin off that takes place somewhere between the first and second light novels. I've also heard that it's 10 billion times more confusing than this version of Boogiepop. But 2 answer ur question, no, u don't need 2 watch the original.

The episodes start off in a confusing way but by the end of the episode most things are explained. The second episode
didn't seem like a continuity of the first and the main characters barely got any screen time either. This isn't exactly
an unorthodox way of telling a story but certainly uncommon. Events that seem unrelated will probably be linked together after a few episodes.

And so the manticore arc ends huh…
Didn't boogiepop say they had nothing to do with the manticore's death in the first episode? Unless it was literally "I wasn't the one who shot it in the head with an arrow"
>Unless it was literally "I wasn't the one who shot it in the head with an arrow"
I think this is it
That was a bit anti-climactic. I hope the next arc is more exciting.
whole heartily agreed
