Gonna start like 20 shows and I'm not gonna finish any of them.
The shows I'm most excited for are
Mix, Shoumetsu Toshi, Mayonaka no Occult Koumuin, Sewayaki Kitsune no Senko-san, Carole & Tuesday, Sarazanmai, and Zoku Owarimonogatari
I will try to watch most of the short-forms as they seem good but I will probably end up dropping them.
i can already predict the bocchi thread
"wow i relate to this character so much, she's just like me!"
It honestly feels like a rather weak season.
Fruits Basket, Hitoribocchi, Kimetsu no Yaiba, Senko-san, Zoku Owarimonogatari, Senryuu Shoujo, Strike Witches. I might look for Trinity Seven since I like one of the girls there.
Fairy Gone seems alright, and I guess I'll go find Index-tan and SYD* and Marchen Madchen. Oh and Tenshi's OVA.>>29362
Why is Yuno so upset lately?
I can already predict the Kitsune Senko-san thread
"I want to sniff senko's fluffy tummy"
I'm actually much cuter than the very cute Bocchi-chan, thank you very much.

This season feels kind of bland, more like a lazy summer season or something. The ones I'm almost certainly going to watch all the way are Bocchi, Senko-San, OPM, Gundam, Senryuu Shoujo and the Strike Witches specials. I'll probably watch through all of YU-NO too just to feed on the rage as it doesn't need to exist and will very likely butcher the beloved twenty-year-old VN.
Fruits Basket, Bakumatsu Crisis, Gunjou no Magmel, Kenja no Mago, Sarazanmai, and Joshi Kausei will be conditional on whether they're good probably. I read some of the BokuBen manga so I feel obligated to watch the adaptation but it gets pretty bland pretty fast so eh who knows.
I adore Gunsmith Cats and Ojamojo Doremi so I'm excited to get more of them. Other than that I'll just keep up with extra stuff for what I've already watched: SYD, WataTen, Uzamaid, Marchen Madchen, Index, and the HibiYufo and Kabaneri movies.
This is my plan. In reality I'll probably only finish two or three items on this list, sometime towards the end of 2020.>>29363
It's kind of crazy that almost fifteen years after it ended Fruits Basket is getting a full adaptation, and by a proper studio too. It's just a testament to its lasting popularity I guess. I was never really into shoujo manga when I was a kid so maybe this is my chance to see why every other girl was reading it back in the day.
I'll probably end up picking up a ton of stuff then only watching a few as the season goes on like always….
But I am looking forward to the new SYD and the Ultraman OVA. I really like the new designs in that.
I'll probably give SW, senko-san, Fairy Gone and OPM a watch too.>>29367>This season feels kind of bland
I feel like every season people say this, yet we always get some pretty good shows. Well I at least hope its the same this time around…
Every season a few anons are appointed for backlog duty so there'll be someone to bump the noncurrent anime thread. I've been picked this time around, which is great because I have a few titles to work on. I just had a pretty good season or two, so no complaints there.
From this season, I'm only excited about more SW. I'll be checking out a few shows but I have very low expectations about most; bocchi and joshi kausei are about the most promising ones. Monogatari sadly I must exclude because I'm like 12 seasons behind on that series.

wow i relate to this character so much, she's just like me!
You'll always be pleasantly surprised if you never expect anything!
So far I guess I'll pick up Bocchi, Senko, Sarazanmai, OPM, Joshi Kausei, and probably Ao-chan. Might end up watching a few others if you guys get overly exicted about any.
Hitoribocchi looks like fun and so does Cinderella Nine. I'm a sucker for girls playing baseball. Promare because Trigger. Nande Koko Sensei sounds like some cheap thrills.I
A bunch of my chick friends loved Fruits Basket back in the day, so I might get some second-hand nostalgia out of the new one.
Oh shoot, Senryuu Shoujo is getting an anime adaptation?!
I really should actually pay attention to seasonal lists sometimes.
It's good but wait for better subs to come out before watching it.
why are there boys in bocchi
Bocchi wants to find a boyfriend
>I liked this more than I expected.
I disliked it about as much as I expected.
Reply to this post with 1 to 6 shows you think everyone should be watching this season.
Fruits Basket and Senko-san

I could do without
the gimmick where she can't speak.
Still pretty good, though.
Actually, let's try the real deal, it shouldn't be that hard.
It's the perfect season for self-improvement and getting a new hobby.
Hard to say since only a few have even a first episode but Midara no Ao-chan and Fruits Basket are looking pretty good
Senryuu Shoujo as well. Bocchi I imagine most people are watching anyway.
Senko-san, Bocchi, Fruits Basket, Strike Witches.
Yuno when are you going to implement nokosage? It still doesn't work.

I was about to commit slander! I was going to write a discouraging reply pointing out that already in episode 1 the animation budget was so low as to allow grave character model inconsistencies, but I stand corrected - they didn't draw Akane's hoodie wrong, she owns two different hoodies. Apart from that, the animation still looks sloppy to me, but maybe my brain's conditioned to see it that way because it has the same animation director as Ongaku Shoujo.
Anyway and speaking of backlogs, I don't know if I picked the wrong or the perfect time to finally pick up Taishou Yakyuu Musume. One episode into each, the difference between it and Cinderella Nine is abysmal.
Anonymous when are you going to learn to use e-mail?
I've sent dozens of emails to that sage asshole over the years and he hasn't responded once.
What are you on about? I thought you were talking about Yuno but it doesn't seem like it
You missed the joke.
If they don't have a scene with blondie in Akane's room opening Akane's wardrobe and seeing only different styles of hoodies I will be very disappointed.

It's not slander anymore.
Early bird notice: if you missed Ongaku Shoujo and ImoImo and want to be there for the next QUALITY fest / all around production mess, jump onto Cinderella Nine now. Plus it's generally endearing.

This show didn't interest me at first but I've changed my mind after seeing this webm
(Nande Kono Sensei ga)
No wait I'm a retard
Nande Koko ni Sensei ga
Isn't the censoring atrocious in that show even in the AT-X version?
AT-X censoring in the first ep was very brief and kind of pointless since it was just over nipples that were already covered by a shirt.
Oh, that's not so bad. I might try it then, I remember the manga being pretty good.

So word is you people liked Tesabu and Himote House, huh? Well hold onto your pants and get ready to be blown away, 'cause we took Himote House, streamlined away everything that made it good, and added a bunch of vtubers! Everyone loves vtubers! And nowhere do vtubers shine brighter than in a sitcom setting, with a sitcom script and a laugh track to complete the sitcom experience. That's right - a VIRTUAL AUDIENCE to go with the virtual actresses. Please! No need to murder each other for a BD preorder - there's plenty to go around!
That sounds terrible. What's it called?
Huh, this is weird. I omitted the name on purpose, because some names are best left unspoken and it was there in the OP chart for those who cared anyway - but it turns out it's not in the chart. Someone's got hot opinions on what is and isn't anime, I guess? Fair enough.
Watanuki-san Chi no. I actually liked it a little bit, for some reason.
A lot of web series fly under the radar especially if they're not produced by regular studios. It's possible it was intentional but I doubt a site like livechart or anilist or whatever really would do that.
hey remember how last season it was surprising that we got to ep6 becausse "holy fuck it's been 6 weeks already?!"
now it's surprising we got to ep6 because "WHY HAS TIME STOPPEDDDD"

slothfully slow summer season, some say
People just aren't posting about what they watch or read, assuming that they are at all.
there's nothing to watch
(besides amazing stranger, I guess….)
watch bocchi you homosexual
Next season looks dire as well.
Complete and deliberate lack of kotos in the first episode was my excuse for dropping it, but the real reason was the focus on manly teenage friendship between manly teenage boys. I really don't think it's for me, but I'm glad to hear it's not a complete disappointment.
I hate music anime
Do you mean idol anime
Why? I guess the CG can be obnoxious at times but what's wrong with people singing?
He doesn't hate idols unless he already forgot about Zombie Land Saga. I believe he is referring to anime like Hibike Euphonium where it is focused on competitions.
