It's pointless to argue that one way of enjoying things is better than another (not that there's anything wrong with pointless arguments). More importantly, though, I simply don't believe that these two guys always stick to the way each of them was championing. I for one can go either way, depending on the situation.
This very season, for example, I've found that Cinderella Nine, which is in objective terms bad, becomes rather enjoyable if I invest myself into it. In contrast, Violet Evergarden required a smaller amount of viewer effort yet I dropped it swiftly and mercilessly. It boils down to whether the anime has the particular things that make me give a shit so that my investment will pay off.
And now I shall pleasure myself with some fault-finding.
Anyone else thought the sound was off this episode? The voices were a tad too quiet compared to the music, and there was this bit here where the sound and visuals are noticeably out of synch, but most of all, what was the point of playing the OP through the questionnaire scene? Was that supposed to be a high-paced, climactic moment? I looked up the sound director, it's a nobody.
