You could too if you
Were Japanese, dumb gaijin.
You can't even count
this seems like the sort of thing that should be watched without subtitles
Please no bullying.
He just forgot to contract
'how' and 'is', that's all.
exceeds meter all the time.
It's fine in senryuu.

Wow, they already introduced Koto-nee and the way she feels about Eiji. And the diet chapter was right before the amusement park chapters that're happening next episode. I wonder if it's going to be adapted all completely out of order or they're going to skip around or what.

I liked this episode a lot better than first one. Nanako, the president and Koto-nee are all wonderful.

Is it possible that Koto-nee is some kind of major slut?
I dunno why but the concept of using lotion makes things a lot trashier-feeling
What's trashy or slutty about keeping your orifices well-moisturized?
Probably the fact that if your asshole naturally chaps because there's no moisture there it means you're critically dehydrated because you're drinking 100% soda or other ridiculously sugary stuff instead of water, meaning you're human trash.
Sounds about right if Koto-nee is taking the US Army lifestyle seriously. Uncaffeinated water is for sailors.
Unless they're getting a lot of traffic, there's no reason to moisturize your holes.
Nanako is cute
and perfect, cute and perfect,
is cute and perfect.
It's my understanding that haiku don't even need to be in the 5-7-5 pattern. How did the idea that it has to be become a thing?
It's just a common misconception.
Is it a mostly Western misconception or do the Japanese share it? Actually now that I think of it, is it like the "all poetry rhymes and are comprised of couplets " mentality in the English speaking world? I wonder where *that* comes from, now that I think of it.
I want to watch this but I don't like that there's a male character in it that's apart of the male cast. How often is he included in interactions?
The entire story revolves around him and nanako's romance.
so I assume GJM have dropped it?
how bad are the HS subs?
how desperately should I try learning japanese again?
GJM pretty much never keeps up with releases but to my knowledge they don't really drop stuff. They should finish eventually if you really want to wait.
now that's just false, I remember them (mostly) keeping up with some things I watched recently

but yeah this is really super annoying because this seems like the sort of thing you shouldn't watch with simucast subs
Manaria was the first show I've kept up with that I've actually been able to finish with them, and to their credit that was an original TL too. They looked kind of moribund for some time and one dude died but it looks like that's changing now that they're getting more active and getting some new blood.
If you're just worried about the senryuu though there's not that many of them so you could probably just figure them out by ear for the most part if you really want to.
GJM being slow as fuck is pretty common, they were on like episode 7 of Kaguya-sama when the final episode came out from HS it's honestly embarassing.
HS isn't horrible most of the time but yeah like you said there are shows where the fansubbing scene is almost mandatory since there's so much HS either doesn't translate or subs intrusively/haphazardly.
the thing that REALLY irks me about HS is the inconsistency
sometimes they do a good job, but on other shows it's a 4kidz dumpster fire, and I STILL can't discern any pattern to it. CR, funimation, even amazon (okay maybe not amazon) all have seemingly equal chance to be good/bad
Well Horriblesubs is literally just a rip so it's literally not on them
When I was talking about translation quality though I was mostly thinking the retardedly huge floaters that HS sometimes has for god knows why.
HS subs are fine and if you find it unbearable there's always the manga.
reading is for nerds
With official TLs everything really just depends on the preferences of the individual translator or translators they assigned to work on it. There really is no pattern other than how shitty in general a company's hires are. They're not like a subgroup or anything which can have a uniform overall philosophy for their release, though there used to be a few subgroups back in the day that were kind of like that and had different TLs doing dissimilar work under the same name.>>30582
You might want to see an optometrist if you're seeing really huge floaters…
there is ONE pattern: the one translator who translates "tsukareta" to "i'm pooped"
Don't forget the terrorist that translates "hamburger" to "salisbury steak".
Oh come on you know what I mean
Sometimes you have subtitles floating all over the screen due to them being forced to translate something that isn't dialog but instead like, a signpost, or a letter.
To be fair that's only half wrong, "hamburger" can be a hamburg steak, which is very close to a salisbury steak
The worst are the ones that translate "bitch" to "slut."

Why is she sad? Did something bad happen?
What the heck happened to the production values in episode 6? It looks like a Roald Dahl cartoon. Is this going to go on?
I don't particularly remember any quality issues but the last two episodes have been well animated.
