Gimme a fox to breed!
I've only ever seen crops of the manga getting posted and never had any interest in the manga itself. I thought "if it's by doga kobo, they can make this entertaining" so naturally my hopes rose the second I saw their logo in the OP. However, the story progression felt awkward and Senko's seiyuu doesn't sound much into it. The first-person scene hits home how static the anime feels. I can't tell if this is trying to be iyashikei, a moe show, another cooking anime, if it's building its way towards some fanservice or if it's trying all of those at the same time. I wonder if the producers had the same worries.
Seeing how popular the manga seems to be, I can only expect the anime to get better.

It's a pure slice of life fanservice manga. It's not trying to "be" anything else. And the anime seems like it'll be doing great at its job too. We'll see how it holds up as the season goes on.>Senko's seiyuu doesn't sound much into it
I think she's doing a decent enough job but she sounds a bit too young and energetic for the role in my opinion. It was a pipe dream but I was kind of hoping Arai Satomi would get cast as Senko-san.
>Senko's seiyuu doesn't sound much into it
I agree the voiceactress doesn't fit the role at all
the entire thing feels really flat and I think imma be dropping it after ep3
I wasn't a fan of the manga either, though, so maybe it's just my dumb brain not being smart enough for this show
>>29738>she sounds a bit too young and energetic
Young and energetic? She sounded deadpan and tired. She sounded neither her visible age nor her true age. Senko-san's seiyuu needed her own Senko-san…
Episode 2 should have been the first episode. There were still some parts where she sounded flat, but it got better as she became flustered and showed more emotion. It was much more entertaining. Weirdly enough, it's the male MC that's making things interesting.
I want to drop it too but first I must see the dame onna do something. I thought they'd introduce her in this episode but they just cockteased with her; it looks like I'll be around for another week.
Wow, it feels kind of weird to see her fox ears being all expressive like a dog's ears but I guess now that I think of it that's more of a failure of other shows since that's how they should be.
Why would a salaryman be wealthy? Or are you saying something else there?
Compared to a mangaka they are.
Animation and manga pay in rice grains of triple didgits.
Yeah alright makes sense
I was going to guess you were saying a mangaka is basically a literal starving artist
Then again if she's serialized I imagine she should have at least some amount of income. Surely most mangaka have enough to rent a medium flat?
I imagine most salarymen live in small apartments until they get married and then they get a residence big enough for a family.
>>29830>until they get married
Are you implying the Eternal Japanese Salaryman(tm) ever gets married and ever stops being a virgin loser with no friends
Plenty don't get married at all or just get fed up and disappear into middle-aged NEETdom.
