The robots look pretty goofy, I agree. But I really like the way the girls look, and pretty much everything else about the show is colorful and fun to look at.
I hope the story and characters become awesome, too.

Yeah its really nice. This episode was pretty colorful too, especially towards the end.
I'm liking Mangetsu a lot, she's probably the only mecha character I can think of off the top of my head that willingly accepts her fate, not because its the right thing to do, but because its something only she can do, and she doesn't want to squander this opportunity to be a part of something special and interesting
and that's really neat to me.
Yeah, I found it really endearing that she just wanted to do something cool
The bit with the randoseru was funny, too.
I want more of Mangetsu's imouto.
So do I, this is shaping up to be really enjoyable! Mangetsu is super cute and I like how she's just stumbling through the magical robot basics lol.
The blood feud between Shingetsu and that other chick is a lot more intense than I imagined. I just thought she was being a bitch for the sake of being one…
And it's wonderful!

nene-ne never knew what hit her…
Seriously though, I feel bad for her ;-; so I'm guessing they brainwashed her mom and she made a new family huh. poor girl…
I wish Nenenee encountered anyone but Mangetsu. So unlucky.

Not really an unexpected twist, especially with all the foreboding last episode, but it's still pretty sad…
This magiaconatus fellow sure is an asshole.
Isn't this show just another magical girl suffering show
life is a magical girl suffering show
Here’s my theory:
A Princeps mage created Suishou for the purpose of winning Granbelm. Similar to how the Magiacontaus created Mangetsu and manipulated Shingetsu into the person she became. Granbelm has been a war between these two gods and their pawns. These two gods can currently deter the magic of the other but with the power of another Princeps mage they can have complete control.

Looks like we got a proper explanation this episode. kind of fitting for a last boss, and also explains why the real world doesn't have some crazy changes done to it. Besides, how would it even work with the winner? would there be multiple princeps? or would you be stripped of the power every year for a new granblem?
I assume once you win Granbelm it ends, kind of how pulling the sword from the stone makes you the true king of England.
Funny how Arthur pulling the sword from the stone immediately led to Morgan starting shit with him though
Aoi Yuuki was amazing as Suishou, so much emotion. Great episode and end.
No one ever really dies huh?
