And the rest. LoGH is getting three movies, though I can't tell if they're recaps or not. Strike Witches continues its hurrah with a movie in early October, though who knows when it'll be ripped. Saekano is getting a movie. 3Hz is making one with a cute-looking girl who may or may not be the protag but knowing 3Hz probably is.
I'm super excited to see that zootopia is getting an anime.
I thought it's been an underwhelming year all around, with the exception of a couple of decent series. I'll be watching Houkago Saikoro and giving both Rifle and the isekai wrestler a try. There are way too many isekai this season but I might as well give the loli librarian and the other one a go. The trend with reboots is continuing although most have been disappointing so far, that said I will give the new cooking master boy a chance. Maybe Kandagawa Jet Girls.
Watching Houkago Saikoro Club, Chuubyou Gekihatsu Boy, Rifle is Beautiful, Kono Oto Tomare 2 and whatever Sama watches.>>32507
Africa no Salaryman or Beastars? Salaryman doesn't look horrible https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4XhZHjhsRGI
whoa even kemono michi is getting an anime huh
this isekai thing is out of control
still gonna watch it for the cute dragon girl though
looks like a lot of trash and nothing catches my eye
guess we need a crappy season after having an excellent one to balance out the dopamine levels
I was on the fence on that one but the hornbill and the fact that the lion is voiced by Akio Otsuka means I will be picking this one up.

here I highlighted the stuff that might not be bad
see ya in 2-3 weeks when it turns out it's all garbage and some of the generic-looking stuff is actually hidden gold
>>32514>Salaryman doesn't look horrible
better check your eyes and/or brain
I can already see all the stupid jokes:
the deer is scared of the lion eating him/her
the giraffe complains about neck pain
the turtle is slow
The first episode isn't even out yet, how can you say something like >some of the generic-looking stuff is actually hidden gold
and then this?
I am a prophet
Get your eyes and/or brain checked.
I have nothing that I'm genuinely excited about. I've always been curious about riful is beautiful, so I'll check that out, and I'm a sucker for boats so azur lane is a must. Watching the season preview, I got mildly curious about nouryoku wa heikinchi and ore wo suki. Specifically, I have low or no expectations about titles that'd normally be up my alley like isekai bookworm, houkago sugoroku club, and jet girls.
The web section includes mini yuri, which I just learned about and am hyped for, and null peta, which should be ok.
>see ya in 2-3 weeks when it turns out it's all garbage and some of the generic-looking stuff is actually hidden gold
This basically made the thread obsolete. But I posted anyway.
i dont watch anime haha
Oh I was wondering why I didn't see Null Peta on the list, so it was listed in the OVA section. Yeah, I have to say Null Peta is probably the one I'm quite looking forward to and I didn't know Mini Yuri existed. Fragtime might be good.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8vRo-tg2oyU
That song at the end is a cover of ELT right?
nouryoku wa heikinchi does look like the neat SoL of the season (SOLOTS?)
Actual ISSF shooting is incredibly boring but a good hobby anime can get me interested in anything. That said though, I'm excited about Rifle is Beautiful mostly because it's coming from 3Hz. It seems like there's less and less stuff from my favorite studios each season.
Ahhhh fuck fuck fuck, I've yet to finish stuff from this season (and the past one) and the new one is already here. Too much stuff I wanna pick but might as well cut it down a bit or otherwise I'm not gonna make it alive again.
What the hell are you still watching from spring?
YU-NO, Bocchi, Senko, Zombieland, might be missing something else.
Dude just sit down and finish them wtf
It's not like they're bad or boring shows either, how much of ZLS and Bocchi do you even have left?>>32509
The papermaking librarian series is actually literally a textbook case of suedom and retroactive intelligence
I find it funny how all these isekai series use the whole 'knowledge from the future so you look smart' gimmick when Doraemon had an entire episode way back when dedicated to tearing that apart, literally a children's show is more mature than isekai shit at this point.
Zombieland aired last autumn man.

>>32537>aired last autumn man.>Last autumn
Uh oh, this doesn't look good.>>32536
Well, Zombie is almost done and Bocc is like at half so it shouldn't be long. It mostly stems from my mood at the moment and available free time, as it often feels like I'm "running" to even keep up anymore, at least with seasonals, thus I usually finish up whatever is left off-season, when my desire to watch that series reaches critical point. Having said that, you're right, better make good use of the grace period between seasonal change and just sit down and finish stuff.
I read Fragtime. It starts off as a yuri romance with a gimmick, but then it goes deeper and is about characters growing and facing their issues. At the same time, it's shorter and lighter than other similar stories. It ought to make for a pretty nice movie.
File: puddin.jpg (189.69 KB, 1920x1080) Thumbnail displayed, click image for full size.
Mini Yuri is a bit of a disappointment; it's 4 4-minute shorts to commemorate the series' 10th anniversary. But it's good to see these girls again anyway.
Shame that's what the 10th anniversary gets and not another season
There's also a new OVA, aptly titled Yuru Yuri Ten, expected the 13th of November. The chart confusingly calls it "Yuru Yuri,", so at first I thought it was just a commemoratory re-release.
KusoYuri already had like 4 season, leave some for the good shows that actually deserve it
I will, but even that won't make YuruYuri good
Are there enough material for a whole season? I haven't been following the manga since the translation group became inactive. I hope they would incorporate more oomuroke materials in any subsequent projects.
You're the first to hear this, but I had a mind to give Val x Love a try as a guilty pleasure. I haven't allowed myself a guilty pleasure in a while (all that anime about underage girls in skintight suits doesn't count, as it doesn't make me feel guilty anymore).
I'm telling you this because seeing this one title among a list of anime I wouldn't even consider watching made me feel a connection in the middle of a more general feeling of estrangement. I say, it's amazing that we all watch anime yet often watch such radically different subsets of anime. I can look at a seasonal chart and not even notice many of the titles you quoted are even there; similarly, people here are often befuddled when I post about shows I consider to be the highlight of the season.
Or maybe I just wanted to reply because of Tama-chan. Great taste there.
I couldn't watch this show. The premise depressed me too much.

• Shinchou Yuusha
What is it: Konosuba ripoff.
How is it: Trashy and not really funny. Really low budget.
• Hataage! Kimono Michi
What is it: Furry pro wrestler gets isekai'd, befriends a cute wolfgirl
How is it: Funnier than Shinchou Yuusha. The dog is cute, the wolfgirl is funnycute. A positive surprise. I actually look forward to ep2.
• Urashimasakatasen no Nichijou
What is it: Ultra gay.
How is it: Ultra gay.
• Ahiru no Sora
What is it: Some basketball crap.
How is it: I don't care.
• Honzuki no Gekokujou
What is it: Isekai about a girl obsessed with books
How is it: Almost as boring as reading.
• Ore wo Suki nano wa Omae dake ka yo (what a typical LN title)
What is it: Romcom… thing. MC has a Jekyll & Hyde complex
How is it: I was about to write this off as totally generic garbage, but they managed to pull the rug under me. I still don't think it will be any good but, if nothing else, it made me curious enough to wait for ep2.
• Houkago Saikoro Club
What is it: Cute Girls Do Cute Board Games
How is it: Meh
File: funniface.jpg (104.84 KB, 1280x720) Thumbnail displayed, click image for full size.
blonde Konosuba goddess is surprisingly funny, actually, but I doubt she'll manage carry this trash
I liked the MC more than her.
The name is bringing back all the bad memories I have of reading the LN

• Choujin Koukousei-tachi wa Isekai demo Yoyuu de Ikinuku you desu! (freakin' LN titles)
What is it: Isekai Anime #05723.
How is it: Extremely boring and generic. Animation is surprisingly good, tho.
• Azur Lane
What is it: Some mobage advert
How is it: It's a mobage advert
File: Insanity Fox.webm (2.87 MB, 1280x720) Thumbnail displayed, click image for full size.
Azur Lane is just a mobage advert but it's pretty high quality in some ways
I dunno about making Akagi a psychotic lesbian though, since Akagi is, well, she's like aggressively not-lesbian.

It's lewdcute. Basically just turn off your brain and do your utmost to totally ignore the '''plot''' and you'll do fine honestly.
>Oh Choyoyuu, the first minutes were hard to watch
they were the best part
it was (unintentionally) hilarious
I think it's just going to be one of those "modern day japanese person gets isekai'd, uses modern knowledge to make the land better" thing
like that slime anime from a couple of seasons ago
didn't people say that was really good or something
the way you describe it doesn't sound good at all
I didn't really enjoy it
it was okay at first, but the schtick got boring after a while. it was just a strange power fantasy.
pretty sure someone on samachan was singing its praises
I remember it airing in a very bad season, so maybe it just stood out among the garbage

• Null Peta
What is it: 5-min short. A girl creates a robot that's supposed to be her big sister? dunno
How is it: Too soon to say.
• Chuubyou Gekihatsu Boy
What is it: Normal girl gets dragged in with 4 highschool guys with 4 different types of mental defect
How is it: Surprisingly not-gay. Also surprisingly not-bad. MC girl is kinda cute.
I don't think it's that good honestly. Might have been me praising the anime for making good use of its medium, having simultaneous dialogue, background events, and so on. Things you can't do in manga on account of there being no sound and divided into panels, you know. It's one of the few anime that do that along with ones like Hataraku Maou Shit speaking of HataMaou I'm suddenly reminded of Hataraku Saibou, season 2 fucking when? I've given up on Maou already.
the maou-sama manga is still going, I was catching up with it every once in a while till a few years ago and it's been pretty good until then iirc
guess it's just not economically viable or whatever the anime businessmen say
is wearing hair clips and stuff really something dudes do in ikemen fashion
I know samurai would wear those needle pins and stuff sometimes and tying up long hair with ribbons and braids like willie nelson or bob marley is pretty normal but I see in games and anime and male idol stuff sometimes dudes will wear hair stuff meant specifically for girly girls and it looks kinda weird
why do people actually think things in anime designs are something japanese people do
do you also think japanese girls wear the slut shit they do in anime?
Watched "Shinchou Yuusha" and "Ore suki", both made me chuckle for different reasons and seem fun overall so might as well stick with those too. Then again it feels the gimmick with the Yuusha one will get stale after a while.
I thought the problem was that Hataraku Maou was so good for the LN that it ultimately didn't even matter because the sales shot up far enough that another season wouldn't help
Then again Overlord got two more (extremely lazy) seasons so really who the fuck knows.>the manga
It's not being scanned for some idiotic reason>>32691
I know for a fact that Serafuku is a thing in real life at least
no I said I've seen it in male idol stuff, it's right in the post
I'm asking is it a gimmick or actually a thing in street fashion
guess I shouldn't expect anybody on here to know a thing about fashion though w
i'm a girl from switzerland why would i know anything about male fashion let alone japanese male fashion
whoa, I downloaded this show but forgot to watch it
it's like salaryman .hack, right?
This aired like two years ago
>sometimes I wonder whether the people who write this shit even play mmos
Generally speaking, no, they don't, or at least they don't play in in any real capacity. I understand that the Overlord and Log Horizon authors actually played some of the older MMOs such as Ultima Online quite a lot and it shows a bit, as they have quite a bit more, uh, 'bite' to the MMO setting, even in Overlord where the conceit is that the game is dead.
File: Val x Love.jpg (205.43 KB, 1920x1080) Thumbnail displayed, click image for full size.
Watched Val x Love and for a battle harem it was on the bad side. Not digging the MC or his gimmick and the voice acting doesn't help. Also the exposition wasn't very good so it felt rushed on all fronts.
DID IT FUCKING REALLY
AHHHH I REMEMBER POSTING ABOUT IT ON HERE AAAAAAAAAAAA
it feels like two seasons ago not two years ago fucking hell
First episode was October 10 2017 so yeah, just about 2 years on the dot

I just finished downloading it too

That said goddamn if this scene didn't make me laugh, rather unexpected to say the least. Since a few of them are cute and I've seen worse might as well give it a chance.
Also watched "Mairimashita! Iruma-kun!" and it feels like something straight out of the 00s, with a Kyoukai no Rinne vibe to it too. Even if simple it was really enjoyable to watch. Would recommend for wholesome fun.
And didn't mean to quote anyone on that last post, but if I had to say something about it is…Morimori a cute.>>32709
Tick, tock, tick, tock, you just got 13 mins older.
Give it a try aniki, it wasn't terribly bad. It's just not the one that will revive the genre.
Aniki ja nai, kono imouto yo.
I think log horizon dude played eq religiously or something or that might have been someone involved in .hack, can't remember
to be fair since a ton of mmos are full of utter normalfags maybe some people do actually think there are girls on the internet
don't think people who actually play them are the target audience for these
pretty sure I'm not the target audience anyway since she was way cuter with long hair
yeah I had a aneurysm when I saw how old the files were
was so sure it was from like, earlier this year
not from way back when like fuckin konohana kitan and ssr were on
I always find it absurd how there was that one season in like 2015 or something with three battle harems that were all basically the same>>32719
I remember the Log Horizon guy played RPGs with the Overlord and Yojou Senki guy
I like generic battle harems better than generic isekais
at least there's usually more fights and cute girls usually>Log Horizon guy played RPGs with the Overlord and Yojou Senki guy
whoa it's like that little sister light novel show that was on the same season as this

• Val x Love
What is it: Old-style low-budget battle harem
How is it: Absolute garbage.
• Mairimashita! Iruma-kun
What is it: Human kid ends up going to a demon school
How is it: Not bad. It's really shounen-y but I giggled a couple of times. Character design is very good, too. I'll be watching ep2, but I expect it to fall apart after 3-4 episodes.
What is it: Crime investigation
How is it: Usually I'm not into serious business anime, but this one managed to keep my attention. Dunno if I'll finish it, though.
• Actors - Songs Connection
What is it: Some gay music thing.
How is it: Extremely gay.
• Africa no Salaryman
What is it: Animals living the bleak lives of Japanese salarymen
How is it: Unfunny.
• Stand My Heroes - Piece of Truth
What is it: More fujoshi bait.
How is it: Gaaaaaaaaaaaay
• Watashi, Nouryoku wa Heikinchi de tte Itta yo ne!
What is it: Girl gets isekai'd as a cute girl, wants to lead normal life, her life isn't normal at all.
How is it: Awesome! MC is ultra-cute and really funny. The other character are pretty great, too, especially the old hag villain! I smell an AOTS!
No idea who you're quoting but this flat-chested Sena is something I never realized I needed.

I'm talking about decade boundaries, but I take my point back, as I see "2010's" is more commonly used with the meaning icicle intended. I thought he'd pulled a fast one on you people, but it seems I overestimated his rusing abilities for once.

Day 1 follow-up
• Shinchou Yuusha
• Hataage! Kimono Michi
Not quite as good as the first episode had me expecting, but it's still a decent watch.
• Honzuki no Gekokujou
Actually begun growing on me. It's really "iyashikei" and nice to watch. The loli is adorable.
• Ore wo Suki nano wa Omae dake ka yo
As expected, it turned out bad. Might be good by school romcom standards, but still very boring and unfunny.
It's also very obvious that the "ugly" girl is actually really beautiful.
• Houkago Saikoro Club
Still meh. It's surprising that there's a guy among the main characters. I expected it to be a full 100% CGDCT. Even more surprising is that he doesn't ruin anything? The group dynamics are so easy-going without being sugary that it just works. Sasuga, anime about taking it easy with board games.
File: AP.jpg (248.17 KB, 1920x1080) Thumbnail displayed, click image for full size.
Watched "Assassin's Pride" and while the enemy design was lacking and the hair scene was dumb, all the shoujoesque stuff definitely caught me off guard. Will watch and cheer for my little lady so she stops being incompetent.
File: wise words.jpg (213.6 KB, 1920x1080) Thumbnail displayed, click image for full size.
• Kandagawa Jet Girls
What is it: Ecchi about girls racing on scifi jetskis
How is it: Plot/characters/whatever is predictably bad, but the actual ecchi looks decent enough… when it'll be out on BD.
A girl gets shot in the butt.
• ZX - Code Reunion
What is it: Some card game advert
How is it: It's a card game advert
• Mugen no Juunin - Immortal
What is it: Samurai drama about a girl seeking revenge. Also, it's an Amazon Original (!!?)
How is it: Extremely edgy and extremely boring. Animation is a bit… off.
• Assassins Pride
What is it: Generic LN garbage.
How is it: Cool world design, everything else is cliches condensed into anime form.
• No Guns Life
What is it: Cyberpunk noir about a cyborg detective with a gun for a face.
How is it: Very cool. Def gonna watch ep2.
• Hoshiai no Sora
What is it: Soft Tennis
How is it: Unexpectedly serious, even a bit depressing. We get a scene where a deadbeat father beats his son. I don't usually like sports anime but I'll give this one a shot.
• Shin Chuuka Ichiban!
What is it: Some shounen thing about cooking
How is it: I regret committing to this "watch an episode of everything, no matter how bad" thing.
You got me to check it out. It's definitely an odd one; the execution, with the shoujo devices and bits of visual direction, doesn't fit the premise, which calls for something more generic and straightforward.
Weird thing is, the PoV character is the bodyguard, not the girl. So rather than a shoujo anime, it's an anime for dudes who like preteen girls and shoujo manga.
By the way, I want to fuck your little lady
- I hope that's fine with you.
File: fat.jpg (185.4 KB, 764x851) Thumbnail displayed, click image for full size.
She's rather cute so no wonder you would want to. Hell I'm betting she'll get an harem later on instead of the dude due to that.
the neck moles looks like vampire bite scars
• Kabukicho Sherlock
What is it: Sherlock Holmes reimagined as an eccentric dude doing rakugo
How is it: Confusing? Maybe my brain isn't big enough.
• Rifle is Beautiful
What is it: Cute Girls Do School Shootings
How is it: Girls are very generic, humor is trash in a bad way, and it focuses too much on the hobby.
File: Val x Love 8.jpg (221.01 KB, 1280x1468) Thumbnail displayed, click image for full size.
Yes, she's up there
Do horriblesubs filesizes seem to be getting bigger and bigger to anybody else? I looked at stuff I have from the past few seasons and the average is like 5-600MiB, with half-length shows averaging around 2-300MiB. It's pretty funky that a lot of BD encodes nowadays are smaller than today's functional equivalent of TV fansubs, which used to be pretty normally half these filesizes some ten years ago. I don't know if it's the source or whatever since I didn't look into which show came from which streaming site but I'm sure different ones encode differently so maybe that's the reason but it's certainly not the quality of the encodes.
>>32599>I can look at a seasonal chart and not even notice many of the titles you quoted are even there; similarly, people here are often befuddled when I post about shows I consider to be the highlight of the season.
It can't be helped in an era when not only is almost everything produced exported to the west, but there is just a ton more anime produced in the first place as well. If nothing else though, it seems most people here are united by a love of cute things so there's apparently some convergence in our collective tastes.
Oh yeah, this is all referring to 720p versions. Pretty much every full-length 1080p one looks like it's well over a gig now, but I feel like just a couple years ago most of them were in the ballcourt of of 700MiB.
They're definitely getting bigger, I think they started really blowing up around the time [Erai-Raws] showed up on the scene as a subber. It's also super inconsistent because there are still full length shows that are 300ish MiB. I think it might have to do with whether or not the original is upscaled, or maybe on whether it airs on Crunchy or Funi or whatever. It's really quite annoying, whatever the reason is.
Days 3 & 4 follow-up:
• Null Peta
Looks weird and cute.
• Mairimashita! Iruma-kun
It's not great, but it looks it will be fun. I have no idea how they'll keep this momentum for 24 episode.
• Africa no Salaryman
Still very unfunny.
• Watashi, Nouryoku wa Heikinchi de tte Itta yo ne!
And that's the end of that.
There are a few shows HS didn't cover and there's still PET but frankly I don't care.
Thank you to whomever bothered reading my stupid opinions. Pretending such a person exists gives me psychological validation.

Nyaa. I guess not though if you have to ask. Thought the tracker might be malfunctioning or something. I hate restarting my computer…
Rest in peace, I could never get my foot in the door on private trackers

Post a throwaway email.
Heck I don't have any throwaways
I'll make one later, I feel too sick to bother today
Just email Yuno and beg her for one
I use the HS RSS feed and I have no problems
Yeah it fixed itself after I restarted
Another episode where she's the highlight, elf rape notwhithstanding. And look at the attention to detail to the tail, blowing in the wind like a badass. Truly a cool beauty and the best character of the series so far.>>33065

Seems like several freelance artists working on the project claimed on twitter that they hadn't been paid by the production company and the company itself have disappeared and had both its twitter account and website erased.
Uh what does that mean
Does that mean te movie is going to get pulled
Depends on how it plays out but I think it's more likely that home releases would be suspended instead of the theatrical releases. That would be bad news since most releases are rips are from BDs I think?
Gay as fuck
But this doesn't make any sense to me, are they saying that the movie was a scam? But surely the scammers can't be getting paid if they dissolved their company?
Camrips do get put up sometimes. I think most people who saw Kimi no Nawa saw it in that form the first time.
The publisher still has distribution rights so I don't see why it would not come out on BD.
On the other hand, Kimi no Nawa was so big that even people who didn't watch anime knew about it.
This just seems so weird though
How much can they really be making from this cut and run?

Saw some clips of fate babylonia's Quetzalcoatl fighting everything and I'm reminded the real whores aren't in the game. They're people like me.
She is perfect and now I want to watch the anime despite my staunch opposition to it and everything it represents.
>>34004>fighting everything and I'm reminded the real whores aren't in the game. They're people like me.
Seems like the studio went bust instead of a scam.
The anime is brainless garbage but on the bright side it's good for jacking off to the cool fights
You can flame Fateshit for a lot of stuff but bad fights aren't one of them. Unless, like, you're talking about Last Encore, but Last Encore is a joke.>>34035
Did the movie bomb that hard?
More like due to sheer stupidity.

Most Japanese companies are obligated to state their capital and even smaller companies like Millepensee has a capital of 3 million yen. Looking at the trailer of Fragtime, I thought that the production quality was above average for a studio of their size.
>>34054>4630 of capital
Jesus fucking christ, some of their customers have computers worth more than that. Sucks, honestly. How is the movie doing though and what're the prospects for a BD release? Since it's already out there home release is probably out of their hands right?
