okay real talk now
from what we've seen she's had an ample bust in her previous life
in the new world she's only like 12 yo
where does her breast complex come from?
She was reincarnated and had to grow up for twelve years. Anything could've happened over that time.

Or maybe she's insecure about how they keep changing size.
I like the swordsman, she's very handsome.
Why does this look like Endro?
The bright color palette is similar but I don't really think it does other than that.
4 characters existing is Konosuba now?
I specifically meant the opening dance gimmick, especially with the background as it is. I dunno, maybe it's recency bias.
oh I forgot about that
yeah lol the way they get "just kill me please" is sooo good

No it's definitely KonoSuba. Isekai is Konosuba.
Can't tell if this is sarcasm
No I understand that the point is that she doesn't have any skill, she's just so strong and powerful that it doesn't matter
But at the same time the fact that it's just a looped swing and the fact that she's swinging at the other person's sword instead of the other person really does bug me a lot.
>>33105>the fact that she's swinging at the other person's sword
But this is how sword fights look in almost everything. Real-looking sword fights are not common.
It's not quite as obvious in most other shows, and in any case the whole 'swing at the other person's sword' thing is mostly an artifact of live acting or stageplays. Animations don't have that problem as much.
Basically it's not so much an objection about it not looking real but about it looking really obviously fake, if that makes sense.
I don't know, man. I didn't notice anything worse than normal for anime, but to be fair I don't pay much attention since it all looks pretty bad to me. Some low-budget isekai adaptation isn't going to solve a century's worth of stage combat infecting film.
Maybe I'm just a tard then
I think I'm with you on this, actually. If you try to point at exactly what's wrong, it sounds just like every other anime or movie, yet I too find the end result worse than usual. But don't listen to me, as I'm very easily bored with fighting scenes and fighting-centric plots, and in fact I just dropped this anime.
I'm with you on this, too
(by "this" I mean you being a tard)
Huh what, why?
Isn't this just a comedy skit show? The fighting doesn't seem to really be important in any way.
Alright, never mind, you were right.
I thought it wouldn't be focusing on the action scenes because the first two episodes mostly had the action as a sort of side note, an excuse for the rest of the comedy, but episodes 3 and 4 have had more fighting and the show's suffered for it. I dunno why they're trying to make this one of those achievements in ignorance things because other shows do it better and in any case, it doesn't fit the main brat's personality and characterization. Hope it gets back on track soon.
Yeah, its certainly turning a bit more serious, I enjoy it more when its just dumb fun. even them killing lizards was more light hearted than the last bits of this episode.
Oh well, hopefully it all blows over after Rena get over her ptsd.
I fucking hate battles and combat in anime period
It will never be interesting
Combat isn't interesting in and of itself save for the pretty colours in the first place
She wants to live an average life but complains about a cheap inn..?
She doesn't seem to know what she wants seeing how she cooperates pretty quickly with being an adventurer, which clearly isn't average
An 'average' life is probably life as a farmer which I somehow doubt she wants
I still think this anime is unfortunately confused in what it wants to do.
The first episode, even the first two episodes, were really enjoyable, but then they started - I don't really know how to put it but it feels as if they started taking themselves too seriously? If they dropped the adventuring entirely I think the show would be better for it. Focus on the merchant's autism or something, make Reina a foodie, anything except this weird swinging, it's like it wants to be a parody but can't resist the allure of just playing the genre straight. Once they started doing actual adventuring or even went to adventuring school it felt like it became straight up power wankery, and, well, honestly there are other shows that do power wankery much better than this show does.
Really unfortunate they chose to go this path.
>it's like it wants to be a parody but can't resist the allure of just playing the genre straight
so every comedy isekai ever?
but yeah I've half-dropped it by now, it lost all momentum after the first couple of eps
as it turns out the only good anime this season is Iruma-kun
(and MAYBE the book isekai one)
I mean, Konosuba does it pretty well because even when they play it straight it doesn't forget to not take itself too seriously.
This is a common problem in writing, anime or otherwise. One of the most important but hardest lessons to learn is to leave almost all of your worldbuilding and research out. You spend so much time creating a world but most of it doesn't have anything direct to do with the story at hand, but even so you feel somehow robbed if you don't let it out and let the audience take part in your genius. A lot of shows do this, especially LNs and amateur novels, where the temptation is strong to expound on your worldbuilding to pad words and show your readers your world, even at cost of being awkward and artificial.
It's a bit sad that like 500 years after Dune was first published people still haven't gotten this kind of thing right…
Do we really need infodumps to follow the story, though? A lot of big name fantasy works leave out crucial information from readers because the point of view character knows it already. Many others manage to organically introduce information by changing said information and therefore making it necessary to explain the new state of affairs. I think a big part of the appeal of isekai for writers is that you basically have a Watson character as the main character, who needs everything explained to him and allows huge infodumps.
idk, the next time Fuzzball-sensei tries to teach me something I'll skip it and will report back
