Yeah the first episode was cool. It was kind of weird that the guy that presumably is going to be the main character got little to no screen time.
those are often the BEST shows, tho
I wouldn't really agree with that. Most of my favorite shows are pretty character-focused. It's a very unusual choice for an introduction at any rate though.
>>34842>I didn't expect that the blonde guy would be the retard kid at the beginning.
yeah me neither, I sort of thought about it when I saw the scar, but the older guy didn't seem any older so I thought it might have just been a coincidence.
me on the right with the cute boots

I'm usually a world-class supergenius, but I've been having trouble following the plot of the latest episode
I think when Tsukasa called Hiroki his pet, he meant that Hiroki was someone living with altered/false memories. Not sure what his big grand plan is, but that certainly completely warped my view of their relationship.
this really is an anime for intellectuals only
I haven't had this much mental stimulation in YEARS
Beatless was the last thing I watched that required super high IQ to understand. This one is on that level yet, but it's up there.

This epsiode sure was something, now I feel terrible for Katsuragi.
whats going on in this picture
A flashback. Katsuragi really liked dolls but his step-family (I think? Might need to rewatch) ostracized him for it. A stranger offered to let him play with dolls at his place, not mentioning there would be a price to pay.
Everyone in this anime seems to have a messed up past but I wasn't expecting something this dark.
By this point I was already expecting at least one really weird thing per episode and yet this still surprised me. What the fuck. Not even exaggerating here, but this is one of the strangest shows I have ever watched.
So let me get this right. Hayashi went around and gave a bunch of puppets memories and a personality. Meiling is the little girl that was shown earlier controlling the butterfly. She had no contact with him hence why she's still a puppet. Tsukasa was actually given his personality by Hayashi but he's mad jealous because Hayashi only cares about Satoru and doesn't give a fuck about him. Also Tsukasa made Hiroki his pet and supposedly has his mountain locked away safely and securely. The smirk at the end of this episode makes me thing that Tsukasa will probably win.

ep4 made my brain hurt
ep5 didn't make my brain hurt

yeah I think that's the point
Are they actually speaking Chinese?
Yes, hence the Japanese subtitles.
