Bump limits and reply limits on threads have been changed across the site. Instead of the massive 500/750 it used to be, it's now 150/225 for the Anime & 2D Media board and 250/300 for the Japan/Otaku Hobbies board. We're hopeful that this will encourage the creation of new threads instead of having everything sit in months/years old "general" threads.

Once again another season went by very quickly and a new one is already here to take its place. To note is that we have a decently packed season even with a few titles being postponed due to the whole coronavirus stuff. Now to decide, what are you planning to watch?

File: spring-2020-2.jpg (6.92 MB, 1920x5396) Thumbnail displayed, click image for full size.

As for me I haven't decided yet but there's some second, third, fourth and fifth seasons of series I've already watched before, so might want to pick those up (although I stopped with Souma at some point during the fourth one), but so far seems like a decent season overall. The most exciting one for me is Strike the Blood, no doubt.

There's a lot on my plate, definitely Houkago Teibou Nisshi, Vlad Love, Jashin S2 and Kakushigoto. Nami yo Kiitekure, Arte, Gal to Kyouryuu is also on my list but not a priority. Seems like there will be more reboot of old series with Hakushon Daimaou and Mashin Hero Wataru. Fragtime is finally getting a BD release and there's another Heya Camp special featuring Rin. Zashiki-warashi no Tatami-chan looks interesting. I might also give Bessatsu Olympia Kyklos and Anoyo no Subete wa, Obakegumi a try. Appare Ranman, BNA and Gleipnir looks like they will be good but I might not be watching. I've never watched Ojamajo Doremi but Majo Minarai wo Sagashite looks good too.

>Houkago Teibou Nisshi
Finally a hobby anime with a hobby I'm actually interested in! Other than Rifle is Beautiful, that is. Will watch.
Already have the six episodes ready to go, will watch.
>Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteru. Kan
Hated season 2 but will probably watch if just to make fun of it.
>Kaguaya-sama wa Kokorasetai? Tensai-tachi no Renai Zunousen
Liked season 1 and never read the manga, will watch.
>Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo!: Kurenai Densetsu
Hope to watch a good quality version of this. All I have is some phone recording from inside an American theater. The audience were basically a laugh track.
>Gal to Kyouryuu
Gals and dinosaurs, sounds nice, will keep an eye on it.

Pretty dull season not gonna lie. Maybe a show that's not catching my eye right now will when it starts airing and gets posted on Samachan.

Thanks for posting, btw.

>Kingdom S3
Wait what the fuck? Kingdom has an anime? Since when?

Jashin-chan S2 is pretty exciting I guess but I don't see that much I'm super pumped about. Fruits Basket 2 will be nice and I guess I need to watch Bakarina's show. The fishing show might be nice to sample at least

Oh yeah I need to watch Fragtime too

I wouldn't bother with SnS V, or SnS in general. Azami pretty much obliterates the manga and anime Rindou was a big letdown. Hell she was a big letdown in the manga too honestly and I don't even want to remember the El Hermano arc

Yeah I'm aware of the El Hermano and Blue fiasco, also the slideshows being infamous since S2, well S3 mostly but at this point I feel like I need to finish the story, I mean I only needed to read like 10 chapters to finish the manga so might as well just for closure's sake (even with THAT ending).

There's more Watanuki-san? Now that's unexpected. For all who missed it, it was a textbook example of 'accidentally good'. It was cluelessly made to try to cash in on a fad that the producers didn't understand (vtubers) and had every reason to be shit, yet somehow everything went wrong and it ended up being quite enjoyable instead. I see from the poster they've added a new character, another failproof way to ruin a show in theory - I can't wait.

Is Oregairu really worth making a third season out of now that it's over? Every time I checked on it over the past five or six years there's been no progress in the story. Maybe it's just an adaptation of the last volume.

personally i'd say no, didn't enjoy S2 at all after really liking S1 but S2 was just throwing Iroha everywhere and casting aside everything I liked about S1

I haven't even watched S2 since apparently everyone hates it.

Hey Kakushiogoto! I love that manga. It's made by the author of Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei.
Please watch it when it comes out

No wonder the art looks familiar, didn't read the series though.

>It's made by the author of Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei.
Picked up.

This is cool and all but when are we getting NNB season 3

File: 1455929768904.jpg (503.55 KB, 1920x1080) Thumbnail displayed, click image for full size.

I know! But when!!!

Best guess would be Fall since they announced it almost a year ago.

Does it exist in English? I can't find it subbed

I doubt it, but you can approximate the experience by mixing the video track from Tesagure! Bukatsumono and the audio track from Seinfield.

>Gundam Build Divers Re:Rise 2
I'm very excited for this one since the first season surpassed everyone's expectations and was actually good. Hopefully they can keep it up.
It's a trigger original so I have to watch it.
I usually like PA Works stuff, so I'll give it a try.

Not sure if there's anything else I want to grab. Maybe I'll try Listeners dunno.

>but S2 was just throwing Iroha everywhere

The basic premise of the show was the only interesting part of it and it threw that away halfway through the first season.

Kaguya has a second season wat

Some footage of that new Psycho Pass movie here.

As a side note, that's a pretty low-tier Cö shu Nie song. They were better in the indie days.

This looks like good fun but I barely remember what happens in Psycho Pass aside from hyper oats and CAUSE I FEEEEEEEEL

I liked S3 a lot and it surpassed my expectations, but it does break a lot of old PP lore pretty hard. If you can deal with it, it's great. Azusawa is my favorite PP villain since Makishima.

Wait there was a third season????

Yes. There was a trilogy of movies before S3 as well which were all actually pretty good too. You're aware that there was a S2 which was absolute hot garbage right?

Yeah the second season is why I stopped paying attention to the franchise I think

No one would blame you. I would vouch for at least trying the Sinners of the System movies though. Which one of the three you like the best depends on your tastes, but I thought they were all very well done and great watches. You can watch season 3 after those movies if you're so inclined.

I don't think I've liked Psycho-Pass SINCE S2; at this point I'm just watching due to inertia.

I never watched Pyscho Pass. It didn't sound very interesting to me for some reason.

I have to say, I did check out S1 back then, even though it really wasn't my kind of anime either and expected it to be edgy trash, and in spite of approaching it with such a negative mindset it managed to win me over. I didn't keep up with it, as it wasn't my cup of tea after all, but to be fair I must admit it was good.

Season 1 was fun as fuck. I will never forget SPOOKY BOOGIE and HYPER OATS.

It didn't sound edgy or anything. I was just pretty bored of dystopian cyberpunk police state stuff back then.

Oh fuck I just realized that there's already Amazon webdl rips of the new PP movie. I didn't realize we'd get decent quality so fast.

so what are the most hyped originals airing this season?

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya

BNA and Appare-Ranman.

It's pretty much the dumbest shit.
I immediately judge anyone who thinks Pycho-Pass is good negatively.
I still had fun watching most of it.

File: nutshell.jpg (251.77 KB, 1280x720) Thumbnail displayed, click image for full size.

Okay, so I did my part of the deal and gave Appare-Ranman a shot. Not joking here, I'd rather watch Wacky Races. I don't mean this disparagingly - I think the anime's good at what it's trying to do, but I just don't enjoy anime for Westerners. Those who do are in for a real treat I suppose.

Now, P.A. Works, you better keep your part of the deal too and make another anime about girls who ganbaru hard or a soul-tearing love story soon. What's that, you made a Shirobako movie? Okay, I guess that counts for now, just don't slack off.

Appare is one of the two I was planning on watching along with Yesterday
why should I watch BNA?

ignore me, I just went and read the thread and the post above me. these don't really seem that fun, would rather rewatch old stuff. Maybe Yesterday will be good.

Just realized that the Princess Principal movies are coming out soon. I wonder if they'll be any good.

as always, planning this out never works out
just subscribe to the HS RSS and download the first episode of EVERYTHING
then stick with what's good

I'll EXTRA check out:
• Listeners - originals are always interesting
• Appare-Ranman - ditto
• Honzuki no Gekokujou S2 - I LOVED S1!!! (altho I was the only one on sama who did…)
• Gleipnir - I read like 10 chapters of the manga. It wasn't very good.
• Watanuki-san Chi to - I could be mistaken, but this looks like one of those 3DCG shows were they grab a bunch of VAs and put them in a box for an afternoon and make an anime out of that. Those are always weird.

>I could be mistaken, but this looks like one of those 3DCG shows were they grab a bunch of VAs and put them in a box for an afternoon and make an anime out of that
>It was cluelessly made to try to cash in on a fad that the producers didn't understand (vtubers)
well nevermind then
