This guys art makes me want to try my hand at drawing some simple characters in a physical medium. Which is something I've never even tried to do. If I work up the motivation to ever do it though I'll post whatever the result is here>>16543
I like it! I've considered getting a tablet just to try it out, but I think if I got one I'd feel like I HAVE TO draw, and then I'd feel guilty if I didn't.
That's a very good drawing, well done.
I didn't draw that!
That's the artist I was talking about that made me want to try drawing
You'll know when I post mine because it'll suck
I decided to pick up a tablet after drawing something with mouse and keyboard (it's awfully hard lol) and then starting with pencil and paper. I've found it pretty fun to just doodle even if the end result is pretty bad. If you're thinking about it try it out on a piece of paper first before sinking some money into something you might not even enjoy.
Oh, thanks for telling me.
Great job Ryusei, it looks very cute.>>16564>I like it! I've considered getting a tablet just to try it out, but I think if I got one I'd feel like I HAVE TO draw, and then I'd feel guilty if I didn't.
Well, you could always use it to play Osu!.

Got my tablet in today, I'm still getting used to it and the whole art thing, but I think this is the best thing I've drawn so far!
I'm pretty happy with it but I've still got a long ways to go to be where I'd like to be
Hey, nice job!
I dug out a pencil and scrap paper the other day to try and draw something but I couldn't even get a head or hair that didn't look all misshapen, let alone eyes. Guess that's what happens when you haven't picked up a pencil since high school lol.
Too late I threw it out, sorry
Maybe I'll look up a tutorial or something, I feel like I'm missing something
It doesn't need to be a masterpiece for the first time
Those are some interesting proportions.
Well of course not
But I'd like it to at least be something I'm marginally proud of if I post it here
Y-Yeah, I was already corrected on some stuff by a friend. I guess thats what I get from drawing from memory when I'm so inexperienced lol.>>16780

Very cute! What's she angry about though?!
I really like her hair, the little side bits coming down do a lot to liven the hairstyle up!
Also I was talking about this on live so I might as well post it here now that its done. This took way too long due to interruptions and my own fuck ups but I think it turned out neat. I've been getting more confident in drawing bodies lately (as long as its not a side profile lol). But drawing faces are still kind of awkward for me so I'll probably get to practicing that soon.

Artism is a special trait to have
I was idly thinking at work about buying a tablet just to try my hand at it
Even if I get sick of drawing I guess I can play Osu with it
How do the tablets with no screens on them like those compton ones work? Does it just depend where the cursor is beforehand?
It basically maps to the width of your screen and acts like a pressure sensitive mouse.
How do people draw so precisely with them then? Just getting used to it?
It's pretty intuitive. If you've already been drawing with a pen or pencil it won't take that long to switch over.
Haven't shared my stuff here in a while huh.
Been focusing on being able to draw well in general before trying to mess with colors, and I think its paying off so far!>>19950
It's a fun hobby for sure, though it's a lot about practicing and practicing and practicing… so just don't be discouraged if your stuff looks bad at first! >>20029
It's basically a pressure sensitive mouse that you move with a pen and a tablet. if you can hold a pen, and can use a mouse, its pretty intuitive.
you shouldn't hold a gun by the magazine
It's okay I saw a russian man do it while looking for reference pictures, that means its standard right?
Besides, that's that's magazine well, so still part of the receiver of the gun.
I saw lots of pictures of people holding on to AKs by the mag while looking for a good stance to reference though. maybe russians just dont care.
It means that uniformed gopnik has bad training or is just too drunk to grip the handguard properly. There are a few old submachine guns where you're supposed to hold the extended magwell and top of the magazine like the MP40 and M3 but you should never brace against the magazine itself or you're just asking for feeding problems and a warped magwell. This was a notable issue with the Sten which was known for feeding and magazine problems, a not insignificant number of which stemmed from its design encouraging gripping by the magazine.
Modern weapons by and large have proper handguards and should never be gripped by the magazine or magwell. The feeding system is the most likely point of failure. The 9A-91s in particular have such beautifully cheap-looking plastic handguards nobody in their right mind would instead grip the magazine exposed by the tapered-off front part of the magwell. That said, I of course wouldn't dream of insulting the very professional Russian military and police by implying they're ever in their right minds.
Or who knows, maybe I'm just a dipshit who bent my magwell once and broke a rifle I liked and won't ever live down the ensuing teasing.
You're getting better. There's still some proportion issues but the way you draw faces appears to have improved. Good job.
That sounds rough anonymous ;-;
I'm not sure if its the proper way anyhow either. though it is weird seeing hand guards not get used…>>20472
Thanks! I've still got a ways to go. especially proportions wise…

For you anonymous, now you don't have to worry about how she holds her gun
>>20465>Oh nooo if you hold it like that it will cause FEEDING ISSUES! So instead of 2 malfunctions every 1,000 rounds you'll get 4! That's DOUBLE THE JAMS!
People like you are the same type who refuse to carry with one in the pipe and the safety off because you have a bad holster and/or don't know how to draw your firearm correctly.>>20469>This was a notable issue with the Sten which was known for feeding and magazine problems, a not insignificant number of which stemmed from its design encouraging gripping by the magazine.
Stens had feeding and magazine problems because they were built in garages with £2 worth of scrap metal and piping.

why does everything i draw look bad haha i want to die
>>20761>it started to turn out badly>why does everything i draw look bad
The heck are you talking about it looks good! Having the colored detail in her eyes makes her look a lot more expressive too.
This looks really cute.>>20761
This looks capable.
The problem I feel is that you're hardening soft lines and by doing so you're removing personality from your drawing (hard lines don't seem to match the drawing style). You could try to keep the lines as soft as they are and turn them black rather than gray if you really must. The coloring feels very flat, almost like a vector, and that detracts from the initial drawing's personality as well. I think if you colored it watercolor style it'd look great.
The only real problem with the uncolored picture is that the face might be a bit too long but you fixed that in the colored version.
There's nothing wrong with the eyes per se but they lack more color. There's too much black in them, or maybe I focus on the black way too much because the surrounding colors aren't distracting enough due to being flat like I mentioned.
Try painting the moogle in a watercolor style and see for yourself if what I'm saying carries any weight.
And I realize this sounds like the most backhanded compliment of all time, but the colored version looks better in the thumbnail. I figured, maybe because the colors get to mesh better when the image is resized into a small thumbnail jpeg so I copy-pasted it, resized the thumbnail to half the image's original size and lo and behold, there is indeed a better mix of colors. The outline has that typical anime screenshot gradient to it and the eyes don't feel too black either.
It's not so much your drawing but your line art/coloring that needs a little improvement.
i'm drawing elves tonight Samachan

Woah very nice, and lewd! As expected of elves I suppose. I like the big downwards-curved ears.

I don't have a twitter sadly but if I ever make one I will remember you, great work!

Awesome job again anonymous, I am impressed with your talent! Makes me want to learn to draw.
I have severe motivation and depression issues to the point that learning things makes me hate myself and causes me more sadness than I would get happiness were I to actually even become base-level competent at something. Which is itself something I am working on getting better at so perhaps next time I am feeling particularly worthless art is the thing I will decide to try next.
Also having friends to do something with is a big motivator for me, and while there are people here who draw (with each other even?) I would be too afraid to share my art or draw with them because of people making fun of it or of how bad it would suck.

Thanks, but I'm not talented at all, I've just drawn a bunch to try and get better. Most of the time my stuff is no good, like >>20747
or even >>16817
For every one drawing I'm actually happy with, it feels like I have 100 that I hate and make me hate myself and drawing.
For me, even though I hate myself when I draw and I hate how bad I am after all this time I've been doing it (over 2 years now), it's ultimately what I've wanted to do since I got into the anime/otaku subculture. I've always admired the people in the "community" who could draw well and I one day want to be like them too. So despite me hating myself, wanting to die and wanting to break my $400 drawing tablet, I keep going and keep picking up that pen, because the thought of me quitting and not being able to draw well ever is scarier than living the rest of my life hating myself and wanting to die because I'm awful at this.
And before you post something like "I think you're really good, you're not bad at all!" that's because I bust my ass off on the stuff I post, and I've been drawing for 2 years. I show you what I'm proud of at the time, and going back looking at stuff from a few months ago in this thread makes me want to curl up in a ball and get in bed with how bad it is. I haven't even been actually getting down to it and studying, I've just been slacking off and doing what I want. Had I applied myself back when I started, I'm sure I'd be way ahead of where I am now. I'm still very much a beginner after 2 years and that's very embarrassing for me.
But I love art and I want to be able to create stuff like those I look up to, so I persist.
I'd say if this isn't the case for you, and it's just something that's more like 'It'd be cool if I was good at art', don't pursue this hobby. I'm not trying to deter you or keep you away from something you might enjoy, but you are going to suck HARD for a long time. You are going to have to put up with hundreds-thousands of hours of being so god awful at this that eating lead seems preferable to staring at the shit you've tried drawing. If you're willing to put up with this and keep at it so you can eventually draw what you want, give art a try. It's perhaps the most fulfilling thing I've done in my life. Though that's coming from a former NEET, it's still the case. I'm happier as a wageslave with an art hobby than I ever was as a NEET with no art hobby.
>>22164>>22112> I would be too afraid to share my art or draw with them because of people making fun of it or of how bad it would suck.
I was very fortunate to have a great group of friends that are supportive of my art and want to see my improve since they know how much it means to me. This may not be the case for you, I don't know you or your friends. Most artists are typically very supportive of beginning artists and they won't laugh at your drawings or make fun of them. Now, Anonymous dickheads will definitely do that so I wouldn't recommend posting your stuff on an imageboard if you're afraid of this, but honestly you shouldn't care because the people making fun of you likely can draw no better or else they'd be posting in this thread.
Your milage may vary, but that's just my experience with it. I've been apart of a group of artists that seemed very nice, and they encouraged everyone to post something once a day. I did that, and I was happy, feeling good about my art because I was drawing daily and getting feedback, then I found their private area where they were trashing me, among others, saying how shit my art was and that I don't even try, questioning if I was a pedophile because I drew some anime characters that weren't 18 (I didn't draw porn) and that really wrecked my motivation for a few months. I think that was probably the last time something on the internet has brought me close to crying, so I know what it's like to have that happen.
Ultimately, it's up to you, but if it's something you want to do, don't wait, start now, or else you'll be 30 and thinking "shit why didn't I start when I was in my 20s" and you'll never get those years back.
Great work anonymous! That came out really well!
>Last time I'm posting my stuff, I don't want to dominate this thread
What a shame… Maybe I should post my dumb doodles here more often, I guess I've just been lazy. though it seems like theres only a few total posters who draw anyways…
>I found their private area where they were trashing me, among others, saying how shit my art was and that I don't even try, questioning if I was a pedophile because I drew some anime characters that weren't 18 (I didn't draw porn) and that really wrecked my motivation for a few months.
Damn that really sucks. What a bunch of assholes. I'm glad you've been able to move on anonymous, hopefully you'll show them all up someday!
Anyhow here's something I drew somewhat recently that I think is pretty neat, I'll try to do better posting stuff too!
This post made me sad
I don't like saying goodbye
Did you do this in MS Paint? How do you draw anything in Paint, I've never understood how people actually do it with a mouse. It feels so unnatural to draw anything like that. How do you get the head shape right? I spent like half an hour trying to draw a reply (in GIMP - did Microsoft get rid of Paint or some shit? Can't find it…) but I gave up because no matter what I did the head looked like a malformed potato.
You should still post here occasionally
I'm pretty sure you're the best artist here.
Jesus christ, samachan is really artistic
Or maybe I just have the aesthetic sense of a pebble

I was going to take this a lot further but something really fundamental about it feels fucked so I gave up on it.
I think its the head being bad in general, I've always been weak at those. It's pretty frustrating not knowing where I'm going wrong.
I think I might just draw a page full of heads and then come back.
the head looks fine
but the hands
The hands are tiny because the gun is tiny. Make the gun bigger, the hands become bigger, everything fixes itself.

I can't wait to go back to tablets, the irreversible mistakes of paper are too hardcore for me. I'm very much a trial by error drawer.
I can't really see anything wrong with the head, but I'm pretty inexperienced…

Yeah the bigger hands really help. Also what happened to your tablet? After getting used to mine I really struggle to draw as well I do on a tablet with paper ;-;

I have a tablet with a screen in it so it needs a hdmi port into the graphics card.
I built a new PC to play monster hunter world but the new graphics card only has 1 mini hdmi (need it for my main monitor) and the rest are displayport connectors so I'm stuck waiting for that adaptor to arrive.
Did you make a thumbnail for this drawing before sketching it?
File: sig 510.png (7.03 MB, 2504x2516) Thumbnail displayed, click image for full size.
Ah, I see. How unfortunate lol. Hopefully it'll arrive soon!>>22239
Its a drawing technique I think, where you make a small "thumbnails" to see how the sketch will look in general.
I drew SIG 510 yesterday, Poor girl has next to no art on pixiv…
I guess I'm drawing cute 2* now since I've been drawing G3 today too lol
>>22240>Its a drawing technique I think, where you make a small "thumbnails" to see how the sketch will look in general.
Yeah I know, that's why I was asking because I thought I saw the thumbnail in the sketch
Yeah, it helps me get a pose with a nice flow.>>22240
There's such a disparity in the amount of the each gun on pixiv. Some have a million drawings and some have like 4.
>>22242>Yeah, it helps me get a pose with a nice flow.
I should start doing that, I just kind of aimlessly draw shit until I get something that I like and then I go from there
But I never really know what I want to draw, just that I want to draw. What a pain
I have on multiple occassions loaded up photoshop and stared at a blank canvas for upwards of 6 hours. Its all when you think "I should draw" but you have no inspiration. I distinctly remember that times like that really sabotaged my self confidence and dedication.
I would have no ideas, so I'd think of something and just throw lines all over, it'd be awful because I had no clear idea or didn't put in the effort for references and studies. Something terrible would result and I would think "6 hours and this is all I can do, I'm awful".
I've never thought of just spamming thumbnails until I get something but it's definetly worth trying.
nice work samachan, i'm proud of you
This looks pretty incredible to me, I don't see anything wrong with the head at all. I like how you gave her lips some definition
Her little bun covers and outfit remind me a bit of Last Exile.
File: G3 s2.png (1.18 MB, 2220x2810) Thumbnail displayed, click image for full size.
I don't know if you used a picture of a dude as a reference for this but it reminds me of how when I used to draw girls with guns in my notebooks in high school it was always a pain in the ass having to remember the actual dimensions of the weapon compared to how big I wanted the girl to be since there's so few pictures of actual women holding guns and most of them look comically huge in women's hands.
Girls have a much slighter frame so that's to be expected
I drew the gun then drew a girl around the gun. I should have done them both as one instead. I did pose in the mirror a bit but the only references were just the girls frontline original.

Just grab some references, take to heart the basics and just practice until perfection. I mean you can even surpass published stuff with a modicum of effort, I believe in you.
Unless you have some specific goal in mind all you really have to do to get better is have fun drawing things that are fun for you to draw and use good references. Practicing specific techniques is optional really but it can help a lot depending on your subject. As much as I like manga and cute girls the only things I ever really draw are machinery and landscapes and birds which is fine because that's what I enjoy drawing.
Is this from that How to Draw Manga book from the late 90s everybody

Pic related was another "popular" series, maybe the most known one.
I had the one on the right. I bought it at one of those in-school book sales.
Seeing that always gives me an AVGN response of "What were they thinking?!"
Seriously how did this get published
Hah, I had that one on the right as well, my grandma bought it for me for Christmas or a birthday or something
They were originally published in Japan actually. They love shitty how-to books over there.
Do you have a source on that? It sounds interesting.
So did it work? Did you manage to draw some sick panels or at least some cute faces?
All of the "art" I made in middle school and early high school is long gone, and probably for the best.

art is fun
sorry for the blur>>23597
The feathers reminds me of some pigeons I saw fighting the other day. There were two ganging up on one other one and I heard chicks chirping so I think they were trying to kill her nest but I couldn't see it because it was too high. They spent a good twenty minutes just flapping around and pecking at each other and one of them got fought off but while the defending bird was fighting the other one it came back and got behind and they did some fighting where I couldn't see and then I didn't hear the chirping anymore. The attacking birds flew away and the other one just sat there walking around for a while and was still doing it when I stopped watching and went away. There were feathers all over the place from the fight and some down got in my nose and made me sneeze.

I tend to enjoy it for the most part, until I stop and zoom out/look at the whole thing, see all the mistakes I made and despair…
But then its back to work fixing everything!
Also, very cute bird girl! I really like how the coloring and shading looks on her!
Did you use a fine liner pen to emphasize the lines? or is it just darker pencil? I'm not too good at traditional art myself, and just sort of made a mess when trying to use a fine liner for the first time…
Also I did a quick drawing of Mangetsu from granblem yesterday, though I feel like I still have a ways to go to capture her cuteness…
Tried to fix a few inconsistencies with the actual card. I'll color and shade this one later, I want to draw another character to the right a little later on but my hands ache now because I hurt them yesterday>>24157
though some may disagree I think pigeons are cute, I hope the one that got attacked is okay>>24178
We will all one day capture the justice and cuteness necessary to our drawings, eventually, so long as we practice!! Although your Mangetsu here looks nice!>Did you use a fine liner pen to emphasize the lines? or is it just darker pencil?
I used a fountain pen! This time I messed up a bit with it and it started shooting out more ink, which you can see on the bottom-left of her hair. Messes abound when trying to ink
>>24192>I used a fountain pen!
Wow! That sounds pretty hard!! I've always thought of fountain pens as super finicky and hard to work with, but ai imagine the flexible nib gives you some neat line weights and what not.

I promise I haven't given up, I've just been sketching a lot and haven't been online very much, and making a lot of mitsakes the whole way, I assure you>>24204
I've been a little wary of the fountain recently and switched back to one of the pens I use to take notes for this one. I'm afraid of it letting out too much again and possibly running dry, but I'll try again next time I ink

i got frustrated and gave up
Nice butt, I want to smack it
Too bad because that's one very nice ass. I'd try arching her back the opposite direction to make her boobs perk up, though.

Drew this a few days ago, I think it came out pretty neat, but I still have to work on my backgrounds a lot. and on my drawing skills in general honestly…>>24562
Cute miku! I've never used a fountain pen for anything before. So they hold less ink than a regular pen huh… Sounds like a pain.>>24564
What a shame, thats looking good! very plump butt!
if you've got any figures or even better a poseable model it might be useful to put one on a table and draw it from every angle so you can train your hands to better represent the three-D image in your head
perspective takes forever to get good at
I already use one for general posing reference, but never thought about doing that actually. Thanks! I'll be sure to try it out!
What programs do you use to draw on your tablets?
I use Clip Studio Paint as well. You can get it for fairly cheap since they have 50% off sales pretty frequently. And its not sub based which I think is great. The ability to use custom brushes made by other people is pretty good too.
Though I tend to gravitate back to the default brushes and just tweak them bit by bit. That's probably just me being stupid and not knowing how to properly use said brushes yet.
Also I tried that drawing from multiple angles thing anonymous said. Now that its done though, I probably should have chosen some more dynamic angles like looking up from below or something. there's always a next time though.
Why is this girl wearing satan shoes?

I'm really not too happy with this one, but I know what things I have to work on again with the next few days worth of sketches.
Actually, I lied, I am a little happy with the leg pattern. But the leg(s) itself is a no-no right now.>>24602
this is painfully true
wow, ryusei you're getting pretty good
Making strides huh
You still have to work on perspective; the face is actually dented backwards while the chest is at a totally different angle from the arms. But still definitely decent.
you're allowed to give constructive criticism even if you're not a talented artist yourself…..
no, youre really not. if you cannot back up your "knowledge" its not constructive and only serves to hurt people who listen to it. post your work or dont give "help" to people who dont ask
Good to hear, and yeah I've really got to work more on perspective. that and general anatomy are the biggest hurdles for me I think. I'll get over them eventually though, just gotta keep working on getting better.

>>25084>N-no! Don't give any criticism!
You're a fag, and one with skin as thin as worn parchment, but hilariously I actually have an old drawing on this busted up laptop so there you go, I'm not completely talking out of my ass (it's a dumb chibi but at least it proves I have a dusty tablet lying around somewhere).
Secondly, you don't need to know how to go about fixing something, or to be practised enough to do so, in order to know that something is wrong. If a car's tire is flat and screeching on the pavement, you don't need to know how to build a car in order to know that the tire is flat. If you eat a stew and immediately start retching you don't need to know how to make Burgundian Beef or even know what it is in order to know that the stew is too salty. If a painting (that isn't using some funky style like cubism) has a person with an out-of-place nose, you don't need to be a painter to tell the artist that he should reconsider the position of the nose.
I wasn't attacking the art. I was just pointing out the problems I could see and actually identify. If he chooses to ignore it that's up to him, or if he thinks I'm mistaken that's also ok, but I don't see why you're offended on someone else's behalf when I'm pointing out problems.>>25085
With the face specifically, it feels as if you considered a face from the front, as it was projected onto a piece of paper, and then tilted the paper so you end up with a totally flat face. People's faces are like more of a flattened tapering hemisphere than just a plane (consider the forehead's curve, for example). If you need a simpler reference than a full head, try getting a 3/4 view of a skull; a skull doesn't help you with the nose or lips but it does follow the rest of the face pretty closely, you can just stretch skin over the bone and fill out the cheeks to your liking, depending on how round of a face you want, and it also doesn't have a lot of the clutter like eyebrows and such that can make it harder to judge the shape involved. Though I'll admit that this is pretty weird advice; it worked for my brother but I never so much as tried it myself.
nice to see you're going to resort to the 4chan methodology of green texting when you get offended
also good to know that you're shit at drawing and have 0 right to say the stupid shit like you said. not sure why you wrote all of that nonsense if you're clearly not mad. looks like you need to practice too, my friend. i recommend Loomis - fun with a pencil, because you're beyond beginner tier. don't give advice unless you actually have the place to be giving it, faggot.

and before you cry and think you'll own me by saying "well post your work if i'm so bad" then here you go
yeah i draw shota, yeah i draw hardcore shotacon, yeah i draw for /cm/ and /y/ and yeah you should kill yourself
So you're one of those fucking /ic/ retards then aren't you?
You can't draw for the big boys, only randoms online, and get insanely mad if anyone tries to give advice that you're not giving because apparently nobody is allowed to talk about art.
Why the fuck don't you tell him what he did wrong then? Clearly, you're the next van Gogh. According to your own logic, you should be able to see all the problems. Go on and fucking tell him what they are so he can fix it, or stop whining that someone else wants to help.
>not sure why you wrote all of that nonsense if you're clearly not mad
When did I say I'm not mad? I'm furious. Your type of smug retardation is what leads to those twitter faggots who can't take any criticism.
And why would I care about whether or not you can draw? I'm not the imbecile who thinks that you can't talk about art without being da Vinci. I don't give a shit what you draw or how well you draw it. You didn't address any of my actual fucking points, so head off back to 4chan and end yourself if all you're going to do is troll.
>>25096>head off back to 4chan
ironic coming from the crying queer who had to resort to greentext when i called him out>>25095
no, you specifically are not allowed to give "art advice" because you dont know what the fuck youre talking about and you can't draw. its as simple as that, but youre a fucking idiot and mistakenly believe you give good advice and that your opinion is valid, both of which are wrong.
if we're doing the quaint "go back to this site" stuff, i've been here longer than you and will be here long after you, and i'll always be here to antagonize you if you continue to post stupid shit in this thread or anywhere acting like you know shit about art. like i said before you should kill yourself dude lol, alternatively actually try drawing before spewing your uneducated moronic opinions
also love how you try to act like drawfagging and drawing art for people for free is a… bad thing? lmfao just because you cant do it doesnt mean you should get so mad about it
Unless you're Yuno you have no real reason to play the oldfag game.>because you don't know what the fuck you're talking about
Like I give a shit what someone who apparently refuses to give any advice at all says.
i did give you advice, youre shit at art and you should read loomis - fun with a pencil
>>16522>Don't be an asshole to people, please, and respect the rules!
This is my thread, please don't ruin it with this.

Finished this up a couple of days ago, and I'm pretty satisfied with it at the moment! TOok me a large chunk of time to get through though.

Also heres a couple of quick dumb doodles I did between yesterday and today to sort of cool off
this reminds me of a thought I had once about the idea of breeding rabbits for war
really big ones that eat meat like in monty python to ride into battle and really horny small ones to ravage the countryside like a plague of locusts
File: improvement .png (3.1 MB, 3000x2400) Thumbnail displayed, click image for full size.
Well, that was a productive year! I'm still pretty ass though so here's to improving even more in 2020!
What books do people use to get started drawing? I can draw shapes and that's pretty much it, how do you even start?
You pick up a pencil and draw
But how do you actually do anything and get better
With these of course >>23221
Now what I'm going to post you should take with a grain of salt as I don't actively draw and haven't tried to do so seriously in a while but shouldn't one start from learning basic theory like shapes, perspective, anatomy, light, etc. then branch out to more specific things, as in drawing animals, nature, people, coloring, using differents tools, etc. then practice until you get good? At least that's how I'd approach the subject.
Or skip all the steps and start copying thesehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p0Y_rCFutv0
You get better by doing. Go try to draw what you want and then go from there. Less thinking, more doing.
Learning some basics about construction and deconstructing the art of artists I like has helped me quite a bit.
Youtube also has tons of good tutorials on some of the basics of anatomy and structures for anime styled drawings.
you should also try and use reference for your drawings. it obviously doesn't have to be the exact thing you're drawing, like a study (though those can help) but just having a guide to how a pose would look or how an article of clothing folds in a certain position is pretty darn helpful and will lead to a better result than if you just wing it.
Of course I'm still a beginner too so take this all with a grain of salt, it's just what I feel helped me a lot.

sugoi anonchi, nice detail with the ears too
This gave me a chuckle. Very nicely done too!
