Where in Japan?

because i wanna go!
dont know yet, deciding on stuff with some friends
yes it is!
tokyo and kyoto so far
does anyone know of some cool places to go or fun stuff to see and do

I'm planning to go there myself but nothing is set in stone. What kind of things are you guys into? Traveling in a group can be difficult because everyone have different ideas of what makes a good trip. I went there on a lone trip years ago but the places I went to might not be a good fit for a party. I enjoyed my trip there so I hope you would too.

I'm going to learn japanese
next year

we're all into anime and japan, its pretty broad
yeah its gonna be difficult because we'll all want to do different things
id like to hear about your trip there if you wanna tell me!

I'm enlisting in the USMC! Wish me luck with the Okinawan ladies! Oorah!

It's not the most interesting of itineraries. I had planned to visit pilgrimage sites such as the non non biyori and k-on schools but they were too much of a detour, I was also keen to avoid touristy places as they are always full of foreign tourists. Primarily, I spent most days between Tokyo, Osaka/Kyoto and Kanazawa, making day trips to areas in the vicinity of those cities.

Go to Kyushu and visit Kagoshima to see the volcano.

that sounds like you had a lot of fun. did you take any nice picture

Uoh cool, take me with you!
Kidding aside, congratulations anonymous that is awesome, I hope you have a fun time. I have a big list of things I'd like to do in Japan when I someday go.

>I have a big list of things I'd like to do in Japan
Let's see it.

I suppose I did, even though most of the time I was only walking around and taking in the sights. I don't really take pictures but there were one or two places that had an impact on me and prompted me to do so.

Off the top of my head:
Climb Fuji
Go to an onsen
See any of the Japanese bands I like live
Visit K-On school and maybe other anime pilgrimage places (although the one I most want to do is Cuenca in Spain)
Go to cute themed cafes (I'd be too nervous to go into a maid cafe though)
Go shopping in Akihabara and visit one of the Mandarake stores
Comiket is probably too much for me but I would like to buy some doujinshi from artists I like
Eat good ramen and sushi and other foods
Visit a shrine
And surely other things will crop up should I ever actually plan the trip. Whenever I travel I end up doing a lot of stuff I never planned on and don't get around to doing things I did plan on. Just the experience of being in a foreign country is plenty fun by itself.
