I just got done watching this two part Japanese documentary that released this year and holy fuck it was good. The dinosaurs looked like actual animals, it was great.
I'm gonna post some webms and screenshots of it for those interested. I was watching the dub/localization hence the English.

Also I didn't post this in the live action thread because over 50% of it is CGI.

Is it this one OP?
Interesting to note that in all the clips I've seen about this they do not talk and just explain everything via text. Don't really know it that's just because they're preview clips or it's just the presentation being different overall.

Yep. Same T. rex.
However that episode wasn't localized/translated into English.

I can definitely see them feeling the need to add a narrator given typical Western documentaries. However there still was a largely Japanese cast of paleontologists to explain this in between dinosaur segments.

I agree with icicle, it's really weird to see feathered dinos. It somehow looks a little less menacing now.

Also, talking about documentaries I remembered this gem.

Very cute but animating them with uncannily anthropomorphic behaviors like eye contact looks kind of weird. I've watched birds and reptiles a lot and they tend to look very aloof by human standards. Of course they're aware of their surroundings and communicating with their own form of body language but it's not easily interpreted and doesn't feel familiar like in this movie.
I know they probably made it like that to make them cuter and endear the audience to them more and they might as well do it since behavior can't really be reconstructed except at the broadest levels but they just seem a bit off to me, even if I still really want to be covered in a fuzzy chirping mountain of them.

About that one I just took the clip from Youtube, of which there were many so if you're interested you could check them out. The name was basically the same as OP mentioned 「恐竜超世界」and since they were uploaded by some NHK channel they aren't getting deleted anytime soon. Maybe.
